I agree. But maybe they're afraid that anime starts if it hasn't already censoring/removing content to appease to the west like what's happening with vidya due to payment processors or turn into generic slop with shit-quality art & themes (I'm talking about something similar to the west with the whole tumblr-bean mouth-esque shows with not-so-subtle reference of modern day American politics, not necessarilly mentioning them, but the kind of things that happen in some subs or translations). But overall, the only annoying things related with anime in the west now are e-celebs, their irony-poisoned fans and western """""anime""" wich is a poor imitation of the real thing, but with shitty animation & writing (imagine writing something worse than an isekai). I think this is another one of those threads that wants to either demoralize, talk about xitter politics or both.
