In a vacuum yes. US still has by far the most powerful airforce, navy, and probably army in the world. The US is suffering from a severe industrial decline though, which would hurt the military in a prolonged war.
More realistically though, the only major war on the US's horizon is a conflict with China over Taiwan. This creates an imbalance in power, since China has an in theatre advantage thanks to their ability to leverage their numerous land based assets to aid in a fight against the US navy, airforce and muhreens. Meanwhile the US has a relatively limited number of bases from which to operate out. If the PLAN sailed out beyond the umbrella of the land based assets, it would be another Great Turkey Shoot. But that's not a practical scenario.

Many will fall off of a cliff in terms of productivity. Many rural regions will squabble over conscription, and the general morale and combat readiness of the PLA would be extremely low.
