I felt so ripped off from my first job after I graduated from my undergrad because it said it was a software development job and then it fucking wasn't and then by the time I quit and started looking for something new, I couldn't get anything because if I applied for a graduate role they'd say "We only hire people who are currently studying or have graduated in the past year" and I couldn't apply for anything above that because I didn't have the experience needed for anything above that. Anyway, I mostly just wanted to complain about my own problems, but I think there are perks to being a recent graduate anyway.

I used to fairly regularly get cold-called by recruitment firms, presumably because one asshole firm at one point had access to my contact data and shared it.
I made a sport of wasting their time. Shit like whenever they'd call me about "interesting job offers" I would show fake interest, probing them for information about the job - which invariably they would not be allowed by their employer to give out; but I'd constructed interesting script to continue to prod and get them to keep talking.

I went to college but didn't get a degree after all since my and my family's financial situation got fucky to say the least. It wasn't hard getting a job 4 years ago even during covid but it sure as fuck is today. I left my last job because of a manager visibly going harsher on me alone, I just didn't want to deal with it, I knew it wouldn't stop because of how well-positioned and connected he was. Part of that is that online job hunting SUCKS, bots will go over your resumé and remove you from the process if are not 100% "compatible" with the position. If you manage to get an interview, you will have to explain what you have been doing since you've finished school, then you'll have to explain that you haven't had a job because you were too busy trying to get a job. I got fucked specially hard cause i graduated during the pandemic and nothing was open.
