He should have non-verbal acting. Like, in his first dungeon or whatever, have him be visibly shaking as he deals with the dangers, then have him slowly learn to overcome these fears and get more confident as the movie progresses

This could be a nice way of making the story actually fucking consistent. There's a ton of loose ends that Nintendo never bothered to use
>the masked sorcerer tribe from Twilight Princess is very, very obviously related to whoever created Majora's Mask
>Majora's Mask's backstory about the people of termina rejecting the goddesses and choosing their male giants as gods and how Majora was a curse they sent to them
>the fact that these alternative worlds exist and the Lost Woods serving as a sort of Magician's Nephew esque portal system to other worlds
>flat out said in OoT that the great deku tree and the lost woods serves as a barrier to protect Hyrule from the outside realms
>the shadow realm and it's connection to Hyrule
>the fact that the demon king is a fucking thing
>where the fuck the other two goddesses fucked off to besides Hylia since she reincarnates as Zelda like the avatar

What is the obsession with turning everything previously animated or drawn into a live-action movie? I honestly and sincerely do not understand this. If they had just made some 90 minute, Pixar inspired adaptation of OOT, even if it sucked that decision would make sense. But they want to turn a heavily stylized, dungeon crawling, fantasy series into REAL people. Like what in the fuck is the logic with this? Nobody plays the games to see realistic humans, just like your average moviegoer is not going to care about Hylians or Ganon.

>Wes Ball is a special effects prodigy and already admitted that he wanted his Zelda movie to be mo-cap over a decade ago
>Zelda's actor already has experience with mocap through Final Fantasy
>Neither actor has the proper look for their character, but they they do have voices and accents that suit them

What if they're planning on using some sort of insane, state-of-the art mo-cap/AI/deepfake editing tech to alter the physical looks of the actors so that they look more like the actual characters? Or is that theory too schizo?

Because the good directors are not interested on video games adaptations, their stories are usually very mid for them. You would be very lucky(And I mean monkey paw lucky) if you were to get George Lucas or Nolan to make a Metroid movie, but outside of that, only mediocre directors that are not receiving good offers accept to make game adaptations

Don't make it PG13. Push the boundaries of what you can and cannot get away with. You can still handle heavy topics or show violence and be PG.

No, not Alita. I'm thinking of the deepfake technology they used for a younger Tony Stark in Captain America Civil War, Luke Skywalker in Mandalorian, the majority of the lead cast in Martin Scorcese's The Irishman (even though that looked like shit as that was more associated with traditional CGI editing,) overall, something along the lines of that.

The second biggest movie on Netflix right now is a fucking cartoon, and has been for some time.

Nintendo honestly should've gone the streaming route with this and released a high-quality anime or animated movie trilogy on multiple streaming networks. The IP isn't popular enough with normies or kids to earn solid box office numbers, and considering the atrocious production crew involved, it won't be able to get by through positive critical, public or social media reception either. The global economy, particularly the US economy, is in the shitter right now, so people aren't willing to spend their money in the movie theaters either, and the film industry's been tanking since Covid - all thanks to people just waiting for these movies to show up on their streaming services anyway.
Just an all-around dumb move from Nintendo, really demonstrates how out-of-touch Shiggy and other execs are when it comes to other entertainment mediums that outside of their little gaming industry bubble.

Zelda is popular with westerners, not easterners.
Therefore, Nintendo is stupidly following modernwestern movie trends, and shitty live-action remakes are very trendy right now.

>>715690798
Mario is literally THE mascot face of gaming and was fully animated, which is exactly what both the fans and general audiences wanted. Compare that to Sonic 3 and Detective Pikachu, 2 of the most iconic gaming IPs in the world, and they couldn't even break past the $500 million mark, despite being two of the most iconic gaming IPs in the world.
Even Minecraft, THE most popular game in the world - couldn't even break Mario's box office numbers, because that looked like (and was) shitty live-action garbage from the getgo.
Anyone who thinks Zelda's going to break into billion market, let alone the $600 million mark at this rate (especially with this mediocre cast) is delusional.

Casting unknown actors for these roles is the best case scenario. Let's hope they can actually act as well. Only issue now is the writers, they really don't bode well.
