There's no such thing. "Objectivity" in criticism is a completely retarded idea and the only people hanging onto it are manchildren who have no idea how criticism works. It's a conversation between the critic and the work. They bring their own identity to it and the work responds in kind and that generates a critique. I'm not saying the IGN review is good--it's probably dogshit, because IGN hires shit, bottom-of-the-barrel writers--but the sooner you fags realize that objective criticism does not exist, the better. You'd be better off reading a Wikipedia article.

I was there last month though.

Super Nintendo Land was okay, but the best land there is Dark Universe. Monsters Unchained is essentially what Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey should eventually be renovated to have the same quality anamatronics and screen quality, since it's the same type of ride. Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry keeps breaking down, and only went on it once where it didn't go down. The How to Train Your Dragon rides were good, and the best coaster is in Celestial Park.

As for the Nintendo things, the Mario Kart ride should have been based off of World, the Yoshi's Island ride is questionable since it's based off of games that are too demanding for children and I doubt any little kid played a 30 year old SNES game anyway, and Mine Kart Madness should have been based off of what Rare did since Rare's three Donkey Kong Country games (as well as Donkey Kong 64) are timeless, unlike Retro Studio's offerings.

Not defending a tendie, but there was never such thing as unbiased reviews. Reviewers are human, same as you and I, each with their own tastes and preferences. They can only try to be objective.
However, it's probably better to let the reviewers who ARE biased in favor of the game to review them, rather than do the opposite. Because they're closer to the game's intended audience.
If you let some, say, FIFA reviewer, who's been doing that job for 20 years, of to review the latest FromSoft game. He won't do a good job. Even if he discovers he really likes this new genre. He wouldn't have the experience with the previous games in the series, or the adjacent games in the genre by different devs.

i don't really care what some bum thinks but i do have a soft spot for game criticism that has appeared over the decades in magazines and sites like IGN/gamespot, and it's depressing to see an IGN review turn into a glorified influencer post--"OMG!! this was EPIC and my FAVORITE GAME ever!"
a good game review should say something about the game design, how it fits among its peers and classics of the genre, the gameplay/how it relates to plot themes.....the DK review is just pure nothingness, the guy was so starstruck by getting to go to the nintendo press events and getting the review assignment that he'd already decided it was his favorite game ever when he played the demo (he actually said this in the kinda funny interview yesterday)
