Which I somewhat get but this doesn't change parts like the Acid Tunnel or the Mouse puzzles or having to do the SOUL segment in Chapter 4 when Kris forces you out. It's stuff you can't really speed up but can't really skip, and don't mashing or skipping through dialogue can lead to you choosing options you don't want so you can't go too fast depending on what you're trying to do.
Climbing is still more bearable than that since you dictate how fast these segments go and half the time the game's trying to kill you on them so you're not standing around doing nothing.

To be fair, you can skip the entire light world segment by just sleeping in the chair at the start of the chapter, but it's really stupid that the only chance you have to go to Castle Town is also during that part, so you can't even enjoy the changes.
