My take is that it doesn't matter if we switch back to Tierlists, or a brand new chart, or both, there'd still be shit slinging and multi-thread meltdowns over a single run and people going full schizo conspiracy theorists with stuff like someone is trying to dominate their tier list, banning other tier lists, faking tier lists etc. because a game they like/dislike is on the "wrong tier" and thats super important to them.

Whats confusing me is that he seems to have no object permanence. Like, if he didn't view it, that run didn't happen. So because every time he's tuning in there's an RPG, all that there is, is RPGs. Other events do the same thing, they put on two+ hour RPGs overnight to fill the time so that less people have to be awake to run during them. One runner losing sleep with a six hour run is better than six runners losing sleep with six one hour runs. i wasnt watching anime in the 90s but i disagree. this is the "marvel slop" or "content slop" era of anime, like 5 years ago i looked at the anichart and again few weeks ago and it's still iseakai LN trash with the addition of webnovel korean shit. hobbyist anime have taken a down turn, stuff like GuP which represents the good qualities of anime (specific, hobbyist interest like military/model kit anime) have been sidelined in favor of consumerist mobile game adaptation slop spam because the niche is no longer a niche and is mainstream culture around the world

Last ESA was "okay" which is the bare minimum return to form imo, it wasn't a complete disaster or anything, it was watchable but not outstanding. ESA has always been best as "okay" to "fairly decent" for me.

Dogwater and ASM are solid, as long as ASM doesn't ramp up the trannies next time.

I feel like when I wake up and tune in, it's the start or in the middle of a long RPG, then that ends, and then its the comfy morning runs which are fine, good background noise to chill to, but then as shit starts to get real interesting I have to go to bed. its easy to forget the massive amount of dogshit anime there has been. there were always clones of popular trends, 80s had a ton of shitty mechas and db ripoffs, 90s had z tier dogshit harems out the ass, 00s had moe slop, etc etc.

at least with 80s+90s slop you had the offchance of a good anime being a long ran one. nowdays the slop's production costs have skyrocketed so at most you get 12 eps + 12 eps in 2-3 years if the first season sold well. uchuu kyoudai is probably my favorite anime and that kind of production would never ever get a green light nowdays even if the first season sold like hotcakes.... unless it was made entirely in 3dcgi i guess
