I can only in good faith name 2 and I've been a horror fan my whole life:
1. P.T.
2. SH2
Everything else seems to miss the mark. They either make you do stupid chores that make you wanna kys, overstep into the action territory, or prioritize "le story" and make it into a walking sim.
They're also consistently overly gamey and you can read the code of the AI as you play which makes for a bad horror.
P.T. is an interesting perfect storm. Because it's not a fully realized game, it manages to evade these error altogether.
>tiny area that's different every time you iterate through it - unpredictable >no "enemies" per se that inevitably build up your tolerance and become a nuisance >short and doesn't overstay it's welcome >"Found footage" aesthetic when released, even more so now that it's been removed from everywhere I'd say Kojima should make more horror, but I know for a fact that a fully completed game would not have all these beautiful qualities.
