Just embrace it. That's your audience anyway. Unless you're going for a Sly Cooper vibe.
In which case, you do both. Entirely based on the characters' roles and personality. If they're silly little guys, as supporting characters, make them fun. If they're more serious and have an appeal role in the game, main protagonist, love interest, or a suave or sultry gimmick, go ahead and make them as bait-y as you like.
make sure to include at least one /hmoba/bait character.
