Once you luck into an 8* or 9*, you can start using your own horses to breed. Try to make them pass down good skills and sparks. A speed spark is better than a guts or wit one.

Ryan some keeps losing races (not 1st for most) and not procing skills while somehow always ending up 500+ in Speed, Stam, and Power where it matters,450+ wit, and 600+ in one of the 3 depending on things are going. She is set up for long and can't even get past the Qualifiers, even the Last Goal at times. I'd do 1 roll on horses and the rest on whatever you want. It's good to have at least 3 speed cards per career run, and you have no SR speed cards so it would be good to try to get a few of those.
