Anon. This is a case of old good new bad. The campaign itself is fairly easy. The challenge is in the endgame. Fighting 8 star tempered Gore Magala, Mizutsune, Seregios, and Lagiacrus will push your shit in like nothing else in this game. These monsters don't get wounded as often as anything before it, so you're not stun locking them. The only genuine criticism I give the game at this point is the performance. A ton of people are dogpiling it because of the "lack of endgame", but this is categorically untrue. Monster Hunter endgame is what you make of it, but it's mostly fashion and there's nothing wrong with that. Most players will beat the campaign, drop it, and return when a new update is available. Then they'll fight the new monsters, maybe make the armor or weapons and stop. They don't engage with making sets, they don't engage in making tons of layered armor, they don't engage in making a ton of layered weapons, they don't engage in trying out new sets, they don't engage with fighting tempered versions, they don't engage with side content like fishing or catching endemic life, they don't engage in completing all optional quests, they don't engage in event quests, they don't engage in achievement hunting or crown hunting, they don't engage in arena quests and trying to get the best times, they don't engage with any of the other 13 available weapons other than the one they chose. No. They fight the new monster, complain it was too easy, and say there's not enough content. This is everywhere on the internet, but it's especially bad here.
