Mine is 19" and came with a remote. It came from a gamer so he kept it in good condition.

You can't just whip up a CRT.
Fortunately, old people have giant ones they haven't moved in 30 years, because they can weigh over 100lbs.
Find one on craigslist that is "free if you pick it up and get it out of my basement".

The only problem with them is they are so fucking big, and you need a place to put it.
Mine is sitting in my storage unit because I can't justify the space it takes up for how little I use it.
