Images do not contain philosophical meanings in them, they might reference them, but people assigning some complex depth (beyond the formal techniques used) to any visual art are pretentious retards. Deep thoughts / philosophy require text, a lot of it, this only exists in literature (and usually not fiction but philosophical tracts).
Warhol is good because what he did looked cool and stylish and was memorable, that simple. Soup Can is one example, but he did a lot of other things too, like the album cover for TVU&N, iconic stuff.
