This game feels weirdly unpolished for a mainline Nintendo game. Also visual aids. I think it could have used another year polishing up but it was probably already behind schedule.

Dixie got the same eye seam update Diddy did with some other minor touchups. Cranky keeping his old design is probably just because meta + he's always got angry brow. He's the only character they didn't fuck with, including Rambi, so it's intentional.
