Kirby is definitely its own thing with its own developers that have their own design philosophies (HAL Labs).

Switch 2 will likely never be hacked. Coming off Wii U era, Nintendo was in desperation mode and just needed the Switch 1 out there. The modders got too cocky boasting about Switch piracy, a huge ton of the Switch 2 development budget was literally just them investing millions into encryption and various hardware/software mechanisms to make the Switch 2 impossible to hack. If ever a Switch 2 custom firmware arrives, it will probably be a matter of years, not months or weeks. Just finished the final boss and I really really like this game. It may even be better than Odyssey and it pains me to say that because I fucking love Mario and have 200 hours in Odyssey. But man it's just so good. And I'm so happy that we've been out of the Galaxy era for nearly a decade now and the games are punchy and vibrant and alive and less fairytale and sterile like during the Wii/Wii U era. Not knocking it, it's just a different tone, but this is more in line with the games I grew up with. It feels like there's an underlying "attitude".
