The only frustrating bit in Jazz2 for me was the Medivo boss. It's pretty awkward to hit because of that chain and ball. I eventually found out that you can uppercut the chain and ball and break it for good. It sucks, but then again, Jazz2 has some cheats built-in that you can use too, they come in handy whenever you get hit with something stupid in a fan made level pack, so I'm willing to forgive it.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. I'm glad it exists because the original build of the game is a bit rough on modern systems, it's a must-have. Also, the new update screen was funny.

JJ2 modding is pretty gnarly. Down the Rabbit Hole is a pretty fun mod, just remember to skip the first level when the level gives you the option.

Jazz is in my opinion, one of the few instances where western 2D platforming approaches japanese quality. A combination of speedy gameplay, shooting and exploration-based level design, how is this not peak 2D platfoming? Oh, also Jazz is mostly made by european demoscene devs, so americans had little to do with it, which explains why it's actually good. It just feels great to move around in this game.

That's more than enough for a game, even without the DLC and Demo levels. Unless you're thinking of features and bosses, in which case I kinda agree. It would be really cool if each level set had a boss (there were some unimplemented bosses) and it would be cool if there were a few additional features to make levels sets more unique.
But the game isn't so "contentless" to be called incomplete, even with those things in mind. At worst I'd say it's 95% there.

I'm pretty sure every level has arrows telling you where to go. You can't really get lost since most levels are almost entirely linear.

Oh yeah I forgot about them, the bosses feel incredibly jank and disconnected from the world. the camera doesn't lock to the arena and the whole boss fight experiance is just weird.

They probably should have had a level transition and put the boss enemies in a safe box. I've had the final boss glitch out of the arena and into the rest of the level.
