It was the moment I realized that the games puzzle design is just "WE WILL MAKE YOU SHOOT AT ORBS EVERY SINGLE TIME...IN THE EXACT SAME WAY...just with some variations" I thought the gimmicks like steam and ice would complicate things and make them more interesting, but it just adds more steps too shoot orbs.
The first dungeon is actually deceiving, because its much more about actual enviromental interaction, clearing away boulders, and melting ice etc. And it developed more and more by allowing you to do legitimately new things with each room and acquired ability
I feel like I can count on my fingers the amount of times I made rock by shooting water in the Lava, and it was a shit idea anyway.
Shooting water and steam at pipes is not "enviromental interaction".
Also that shit went on for SOOOO long, waaay to long with barely any meaningful change, just variation.
This isnt even the biggest problem with the game, I think if i remember right, it took me like 4 hours to get to the first dungeon, and probably another 3 or 4 to the second one. Thats the ACTUAL problem with these shitty zelda likes, they extend the time wasting "inbetween" quest part of zelda for waaaay too long, and often dont even involve a puzzle of its own along the way, just that shitty perspective platforming thats more trial and error than anything.
