There, Fatlus solved traditional 4 niggas in a row with Etrian and Press Turn SMT ages ago.
Positioning is mostly a meme. SRPG fags believe their games are some sort of chess grand master class, when it's just a drag and extra steps to make a character attack an enemy.

Until they make it more tactical and skill based instead of a severe stat check, they will always be mostly garbage. As they are, encounters have to be tailored specifically so you can't ever fail and far too often they devolve into things like my .webm where you're just spamming the "Attack" button.

Literally ignore the people complaining about it. There is so much variety in builds, skill development systems, and the actual execution of combat and they will complain no matter what. You'll lose your base audience that enjoys that shit trying to reinvent the wheel.
