And people who are completely stuck being coomers normalize it so hard they actually believe it's the primary feature of the franchise.
I'm just happy I played Ocarina of Time before the internet was brainrotted, because if it came out today people would fetishize the nun-Zelda design she has in the child timeline. And my nostalgia for the game makes me look and go "that's cute."
But at the same time when I replay it, there was an "oh" and realizing she has the same anime features that typically gets put into overtly fetishistic situations in doujins or pixiv.
I can jerk off to that stuff too sometimes, but if I like a game franchise without those connotations, it does frustrate me to no end that people associate them with porn. A good example is Ace Attorney. So many Athena threads in here from people who clearly haven't played the games. Same thing happeend with Another Code, which is one of the most down-to-earth story-based games ever, with actually great writing, which humanizes the character to a point where equating it with "sex" just feels abusive.
But if it's just some 2D character with a Heavenly Ass from a franchise I don't know, sure, it can get me off.
