You'd need some minor rewrites to make a female protagonist work for the story of Persona 5. Particularly from the opening until the completion of the Kamoshida arc. Otherwise Shido would have to try and claim a teenage girl beat him up. And the whole school being terrified of physical violence from a girl wouldn't really work either. And I feel like Sojiro realistically would be treating her a little different at the start. Kamoshida too, for that matter. After that though, the stories wouldn't need to diverge much if at all.

I just wonder how it rewrites the whole 3rd semester scenario? Is Joker repurposed in a different supporting role. While it might be a challenge to rework him in the plot. It would be interesting if the modders did manage to work around it.
