I want to be real with not just you, OP, but to everyone ITT. I played in lobbies of old, I remember finding games with built in mute buttons or vote mutes, and I remember when you didn't have that and yet still were annoyed I would just server hop. Sometimes, once in a blue moon, I'd either try to rise to the challenge of my bully or just ignore it. Does it make me weak for DCing out of the game? Nah, I don't think so. But that was because back then that level of shitflinging wasn't acted on by bans or reports, you'd just be howling to the void.
We live in a day and age where you don't have to put up with that shit. You were strong for not buckling back then because you got to keep playing the game you wanted to, but now you can and you can make the annoying faggots go away. Sure I like banter but there's a clear line between bantz and actual verbal abuse, and if a motherfucker wants to mouth off and bother me in 2025 when this shit is a bannable offense, I don't think I'm a bitch for doing it. If someone on /v/ derails a thread with Spiderman or falseflag spamming I won't just pack up and leave, I'll report their asses to get it to stop. Why should the actual video games be any different?

This. I managed to get fuckton of people banned in OW by pretending to be a girl and baiting my teammates to get angry by "subtly" throwing and deranking in ranked. Then when they got angry and threw insults, I just reported them. After deranking enough and seeing the shitter on enemy team, I watched if he recognized me. Most of the time they went full "haha lol u have thrower troll in ur team have fun losing" on preround and I insisted I never throw. Then proceed to wipe floor with them and tell in all chat that "I'm sorry you guys got him in your team, he was very toxic and was playing very bad :( I hope you get bit better teammate in next match". 11x reports for toxicity lmao have fun retard.
