Let's be honest. Mega Man 2 is iconic, and a classic. But it has some good awful level design in it and any weapon that isn't the Metal Blade is worthless and some of the stages are boring.
It's a good game but 4,6,7,9, and 11 blow it out of the water in terms of everything

Basically. And you can only break those green walls with a specific weapon and only allowed like 1-2 misses. It's some trial and error bullshit. I used savestates and I have no regret.

Always find it funny when people who say MM4 is better always vastly prefer it over MM3 when MM3 does more things right than MM4. Sure MM3 was rushed but the gameplay is way more refined than MM4 was minus the Doc Robot stages. MM4 goes to shit the moment you enter Cossack's Fortress.

Air Shooter's pretty good, Bubble Lead kills enemies that are immune to everything else, Crash Bomb does tons of damage, Leaf Shield makes Crash Man's stage a lot easier

Mega Man is a speed game and one of the first, if not the first, games with dedicated speedrun sites. This and doom are like the pillars of the speedrunning community. Sorry, but if you can't beat all the mega man NES games in under an hour your opinion is worthless. It's like having an opinion on shmups you can't 1cc.

I'm playing MegaMan X2 and I'm surprised how people say it's better than 1.

The first hunter base proves this wrong. Godamn boss has the worse attack pattern in any MegaMan game I've seen.

Quick Boomerang would be considered one of the best weapons in the series if it debuted in a game without the Metal Blade.

The only one I found boring was Flash Man's. I guess Wily 3 isn't great either, but it's much better than the Doc Robot segments in 3.

Also, the music is the best in the series. Only 3 and 9 come close.

I'll tell you why you're wrong as soon as this boss health bar finishes filling up.

Mega Man as a franchise is such an interesting thing because there's so many games that someone will have anything as a favorite. Sure, you'll see some consensus (Zero 3 is the most liked of that series, X1 and 4 were the most popular of that), but then some people will enjoy one game wholesale and shit on another and then the vice versa occurs with the target game's fans. It's not like Sonic debates, where the games changed so drastically per title that you have so much flipflop, it's just someone prefers one game in Mega Man and then that other game? pft, fuck that other game man, it's so bad, how can you like it?
