This game is so much more fun than base elden ring. I can't wait for the DLC. Haven't had this much fun with a game in a long while. It fixes everything wrong with Elden Ring like the empty world, ans gives you a readon to use all the weapons and weapon arts. For me this game is genuinely lightning in a bottle and I'm sad that after DLC comes out they probably won't touch this again. I also can't believe the likes of IGN giving it a 7 because they're fucking filtered faggots meanwhile god of soi gets a 10 for having a grumbling nigger spew one worders for 40 hours while walking forward

They have infinite potential to continue adding bosses from all the Souls games, more legacy costumes etc. So much they could do. I really hope they add the martial arts and perfumes weapons from the SotE DLC. This is the kind of game they can keep adding stuff to for a really long time with all the backlog of things they have for it. They've already shown they can add things from DS1, 2, and 3 so that's no obstacle. I get Bloodborne and Sekiro are probably off the table due to IP shenanigans. Still, i was absolutely disillusioned with Elden Ring and especially the DLC when 80% of it was riding a horse in an empty field to get shitty consumables. This has done away with that completely. Also the randomization creates such interesting situations. Yesterday we were in the northeast evergaol, got the 3 banished knights and were almost beating them, then a Leonine Misbegotten field boss got aggroed in, and as if that wasn't enough we got raided by Morgott at the same time, it was so fucking wild. I love it.

The game is piss easy if you abuse the most OP shit and turn all the bosses into training dummies who can't fight you back but that also makes it boring as shit because at that point you're not really interacting with the game much

Nightreign is pretty fun. Randomization could be better, but honestly the people you play with are the biggest random element. Nothing makes a bigger difference in how the game will go than getting shitters or pros as allies. It's kind of funny, you can tell whether the run will be easy or ballbusting hard within the first 3 minutes of a game.

My main issue is that the characters don't give enough verbal information as to where they might show up next. I tried to go as long as I could without guides, and even deliberately trying to complete certain npc quests I couldn't, because they relied on me finding them in a random corner of the map without any hints as to where they might be. This is especially egregious if it's an area you've already been to. Shadow of the erdtree did it very well, they didn't really tell you much about where they were going but they were placed in pretty obvious locations so anyone trying can easily do the quests without guides
