After 10 years of making Destiny, Bungie has perfected the live service model. They've been lowering the amount and cuality of content made while also increasing the amount they nickel and dime from the player base for years now. My guess is that Bungie expected Marathon to be the next big thing and thus felt confortable trying to use Destiny for one last experiment. I fully believe that EoF and renegades are an attempt at creating the ultimate slop factory, and that they planned to pass on this knowlage to the Marathon team to also turn it into another slop factory while they focused on their other newer proyects.People often say Bungie is just trying to increase their profit margings on the short term, I disagree. They want to create the ultimate live service model and my guess is that this is the reason why Sony payed so fucking much for them. At this point it's not about the money, it's pure fucking malice.
