So the choices for a videogame company CEO are:

1. Have a clearly visible label that says "This game will stop functioning after 2035". Even if it's a one-time purchase, it would be considered a service with a visibly clear planned end date.
2. Make your game an actual live service game. As in, charge €1-€5/month for it.
3. Make a simple offline mode that's there from the start, but have it missing 80% of features. At that point you could argue that the game is "reasonably playable". For example, imagine a League of Legends offline mode where you're just playing with bots and only have 20 champions available.
