The chibis have guns and will shoot each other. Its an autobattler but your job is to direct them on which special skills to use and where to target them (eg a heal support skill targeting a unit that is soaking up lots of enemy aggro, a damage skill that does a big chunk of damage to a single enemy or in an AoE, or support skills like instant reloads, buffing of ally stats, or debuffing enemies
Most of the game is in a VN format so the chibis aren't on your screen unless you've got them in combat or in the cafe where you can headpat them.

Obviously will have to wait until there isn't an ongoing event that is looking to sap my AP, but better to know earlier than later.
170 pulls and I couldn't get Rio, didn't even get the chance to try Neru. I did want to use my adult card but I ran out of time. My idea was to skip some undone story chapters (which I would've gone back to read) until 180 and then buy the last 20 pulls for pity, but V1C3 had too many battle stages and time ran out l.
I'm too burnt out, might take a break for a few days, or just do the bare minimum.

Dont start doing pulls unless you know you'll get yourself to 200 to guarantee in case of bad luck. You should expect the bad luck.
Also make sure you check your mailbox, there were some gifts that might have been able to take you over. Also do your story and momotalks.

Hanako's and Hoshino's EX are multihit, and in this JFD mobs heal on hit IMMEDIATELY. So it favors single hit blue AoE students, B.Asuna and S.Koharu, like it was brought up before. Hosh has bad mood on this terrain too. For perfect score you'd want not to overbuff to save cost, when your students can do just enough damage to delete mobs with one EX hit. It's very autistic to get a perfect score on this JFD. AND, as I said, it's a whale privilege. Because who the fuck has a maxed out B.Asuna? (I've heard S.Koharu sees some use on Blue Greg during GA).

Summer Ayane is good. Maid Yuzu is nice if you don't have Hibiki. Track Hasumi is a decent blue ST and the most important part is that unlike all the other welfares, you're given a max copy of her, so if you're lacking blue options, it can be very helpful. The rest are either mediocre, or niche.

If you're new, this is fine. The farming stages in this event are actually ass because running between mobs takes twice as much time as actually defeating them. The max bonus teams couldn't even do the 90 second achievements and this hasn't happened to me for a year...that is since the original run of the event.

Sure, the lower levels aren't as bad and the cancerous mechanics mostly appear on difficulty 3 and 4. So run mock first and see what combinations of 2 and 1 you can get away with using your roster. Don't forget that you don't have to deploy full teams, but a complete team does recover cost much faster.

That's the joke - you CAN'T. There's no dedicated account EXP grinding stages or anything. You get as much EXP as you spend AP.
The ONLY way to get more is during double account exp campaigns.
Well, as for gaining AP though, you should be upgrading your cafe (by clearing every 3 Main Mission levels and grabbing the Cafe upgrade module). You can buy AP drinks in the shop with PvP coins (can be refreshed up to 3 times a day). And, you can refresh AP with pyrox (not recommended).

There's no "quicker way" per se. 1 ap spent = 1 exp, you can buy energy drinks for pvp coins (the refreshes in pvp coin shop also cost coins, not pyros, unlike the other shop refreshes btw). There's also the option of refilling ap with pyros directly, but it is only recommended during double exp weekends and you should be aware and ok with spending precious currency on that so consider whether it's really worth it.

You get basically zero Elephs from lessons, it's a very small chance to get 1. The game wants you to spend your Ligma on it. By the way, don't spend ligma on anything else, only elephs. In general, you want to focus on your DPS characters first. Or if you have favorites, get them to 5* so you uncap their relationship level. Tanks and Supports can be left on 3* no problem.

that said, on the next two weekends with double exp going on you want to head to the store, buy the PVP AP, refresh for coins, buy the AP again, do it 4 times a day and you'll have 720 daily bonus experience on those weekends. If you can afford it refresh the fuck out of bluefes months, those 3x drops won't come back for 6 months.
I had seen a bunch of characters from this before I started playing and had a few in mind that I wanted to get when I started playing with the steam release, but ended up pulling Hoshino in my starting pull and then both of her alts during fest, and she is the best girl by such a huge margin it isn't even funny. She is my wife and I can't believe this community was hiding her from me all this time.

Hoshino is the most prominent character in the story, even if the devs clearly love Hina more. In fact, Abydos is central to the entire narrative, so you'll be blessed with a lot of screen time.
Swimsuit Hoshino and Armored Hoshino are both meta units, and the base one is absolute Queen in the current PvP season(needs investment though).

Yeah, I'd invested everything I have into her because she is my wife and managed to get to the point where the only people I could match with were level 90 who stomped my level 40 team, but still, further than I expected to go when that outlevelled. Think the best I've done is 550ish. Currently working on maxing out her battle variant because the dealer versions EX is the coolest shit in the game I've seen so far, love those massive shotgun blasts. Swimsuit will have to come later.

I was just about to finish the Lv9 equipment for my "finished" characters, which I admit are a lot, but it gave me satisfaction knowing I was going to have a complete roster of fully upgraded units.
