>>716190778 (OP) >Do people think this type of storytelling is sophisticated Anything that lets normalfags play games and pretend to be gamers they will say is the best. Itโs why the most shallow cinematic slop gets called a masterpiece. Itโs not because it does anything innovative or impressive, but because it lets some retard that can barely play Mariokart think heโs part of the subculture.

>>716190778 (OP) I never played it. Between the EGS exclusivity, no physical version on condole, and the race swap they seemingly did everything they could to make me despise it before it ever game out. And I'm someone who's purchased the 1st game three separate times.

>>716191083 the 1st game was a glorified corridor shooter where you had to aim at a thing for a bit before being allowed to shoot at it
>>716190778 (OP) >man who can only say things are bad and boring with no elaboration is concerned with sophisticated storytelling in a videogame you're an even bigger brainlet than the people who like the game

>>716191615 And the game is better for it. They use her being black to shit all over DEI, oppression narratives, and "OMG Muh black female protagonist!" fags in the ending stretch of the game.
AW2's big story issues are the pacing since it wants you to swap between Alan and Saga's story at your own choice, but that just makes you either flip flop in ways that don't give a good flow or just go through one after the other which is a much better but still stilted pacing in parts. Should've just done a dual campaign or something. Also I don't like the Control crossover taking up a lot of screentime in the third act and fucking with the vibes AW2 was going for a bit.

I started as a fat naked man running around and thought it was kino. Then I was some black woman larping as a detective and I uninstalled the game.

Hiring Sam Lake was the best and worst decision Remedy ever made

>>716190778 (OP) The opening sections of the game are pretty weak, it gets better as it goes along. The combat never really improves min you. Some decent boss battles though.
The way the game was being marketed, I was really hoping that it would be a lot scarier. The repeated jumpscares were more annoying than anything. The bosses also felt particularly unimaginative, but Remedy has never really been great at designing those. >>716195787 I'm looking forward to Control 2 just to see more of Darling. He was fun.
