But I'm simultaneously told it will replace 90% of human creativity and productivity, and also to wait indefinitely while it does that, while mainly being used to churn out pornography.
What if it ends up being a curiosity? No one used the 3D on the Nintendo 3DS. Those red-and-blue glasses never really caught on with moviegoers, they're a gimmick. People still don't give a fuck about virtual reality. I'm led to conclude that that particular industry (3D, VR) is built on a flawed premise - that people want to see flat images or game in 3D - and it may well be the case that AI is built on a similarly flawed premise, too.
But again, I'll believe it when I see it.
