This design sucks.
It's already been said but just because you use a specific type of pokemon doesnt mean your clothes need to scream that too. It's gotta have some subtlety to it.

For example gen 1-3 have pretty perfect gym leader designs.
Gen 4 is a bit more goofy but still hasn't crossed the line.
Gen 5 has Skyla's dumb propeller hair, Drayden's dragon beard, and the Striaton brothers with stupid typing hair as the bad designs while the rest are fine.
After gen 5 though the designs got much wackier and worse.

You can do good designs with little subtlety such as water type trainers using some kind of swimsuit, bug trainers looking outdoorsy, or fighting type trainers using sports wear.
But don't use actual purple goo as part of the clothing. It just looks tacky and makes the clothes look extra retarded.
