I really don't get how anybody takes this story seriously. It's got a lot of interesting socioeconomic subplots but they all fade away in favor of generic anime bullshit, including Sephiroth, who is nothing without his boss theme. Same with Cloud. Just awful lead characters with a nothing story that will never end given the nature of the Final Fantasy VII Cinematic Universe.

Where does Ginny being some weird ghost-in-the-wall and Tom acting like a retard in general waiting for Pottah to figure out the plot over the course of something like six months come in? The timeline and events just felt like a mystery box with no overarching purpose. Nothing else even happens in the movie. Nobody has any character development, we were already properly introduced to Hogwarts in the first film, and Voldemort/Tom Riddle will promptly be forgotten and then be reintroduced like three more times before becoming a proper threat. Chamber of Secrets just feels like filler, and really bad filler at that.
