I played the English version on release for a little bit, but man story based gacha games are just not my thing. I tried with Another Eden, and I got through the first arc, and it was okay, but it was not nearly as good as people were claiming its story was. I wanted to play HBR for similar reasons, and I really liked Chapter 1, but then another game I wanted to play came out before I got finished with Chapter 2, and then I just kinda fell off and couldn't get back into it. Plus, I've seen what endgame shit looks like and it does not seem appealing to me.

I just want the story. The characters were fun, but even in less than 2 complete Chapters, I already got tired of every character repeating the same joke all of the time.

There are many more modern games I like and love, but I always tend to go for the old ones for these charts

I can't help you here... i personally don't care much about the gameplay parts and auto them 99% of the time @_@ am in it just for the story.

I think there are some YouTube channels that post only the story parts? you can check out the video and go over the parts that you feel are not important for you @_@

They do change them later, some of the jokes were repeated for a reason... like with Bungo-chan @_@ but even in her case she will get new jokes... just like the rest of the characters, and they will also build new dynamics with different characters that you never thought could happen @_@ like with how in one even, all the small characters get together and create a team of small girls, this team will show up in a couple of events and will get some real building to it @_@

I might replace Batsugun with Rhythm Heaven Fever, I'm not sure.
