You're inside a black hole right now.
All universes are the result of a black hole forming.
I heard the the entire universe could potentially be embedded in the 2D surface of a black hole. How could that be if the universe 3 spatial dimensions?
>>716265030I've heard this theory but I don't understand how black holes inside black holes makes sense.

>>716265030>>716265401The cooler theory is that black holes are portals, to other dimensions perhaps
>b-but you get crushed to deathYeah and you get uncrushed from the other side
Singularities from black holes are an artifact of our current models being incomplete and disregarding domain velocity, surreal analysis, and the Luhai calculus of infinities. Black holes are Luhain objects that display a complex identity and a string object.
>>716265898>you get uncrushed from the other sideSomehow I doubt it's a lossless compression.

the universe strait up has overflow errors like this and we still deny living in a simulation
How would a civilisation on a planet that orbits a black hole operate?
>>716266208most of these articles are bait, we have really only scratched the surface of our understanding of space.
>>716266224Basically infantismals are another type of complex number that was purposely replaced with limits to remove God from the equation. Limits are fake and infinity equals zero, it is through the rule of three for which gauge, antigauge, and zero are defined. The surreal plane, ฯ and -ฯ fit all the definitions of a mathematical group, but have been ignored by the mainstream. They are the integral of the standard plane. Instead they would like to just use 1/ฯx over and over again and wonder why they can't solve any partial differential equations.
>>716266208could that be the origin point of universe. if the big bang theory is true maybe everything exploded from there and are now returning to one point

A lot of this stuff gets misrepresented by pop-sci outlets that don't actually understand the math, they're just re-telling the same bad analogy someone else used to explain a complex subject to a layman with no background in the subject.
And once you get into relativity (special and general) things stop behaving in an intuitive way (same with quantum mechanics), so its hard to wrap your head around without taking a deeper dive into the subject, or living with "dude trust me."
But basically, if you were inside of an event horizon, you could look out and see a universe evolving in complexity and expanding with a particle horizon, and an inevitable flow forward in time.
You're going through a looking glass. Maybe. The event horizon is a one-way street for all intents and purposes, so its hard to use our physics to describe a region of space where those start to break down.

>>716275087>I really shouldn't stick my dick in there... HOWEVER
>>716272348basically, there are certain types of stars/events that very reliably emit certain wavelengths or intensities of light since they happen at specific breakpoints in mass or whatever, and if you see a light/event that is exactly like that but dimmed/distorted by a certain degree you can tell how far away it is or how fast it's moving towards or away from you. For relative motion it's based on the waves being stretched or compressed and comparing normal spectroscopy (the wavelengths emitted by certain elements which are always exactly the same) to light sources where all those wavelengths are distorted to the same degree. The odds of all these light sources being made of exotic matter with the same series of emission lines shifted slightly to the side is much lower than the odds of them all being the same emission lines but some of them being distorted due to moving away from us at various speeds. Especially since all the sources in the same galaxy are all being distorted in the same way.

>>716276457>nobody knows what happen after the event horizonNot really, we have a pretty good idea. The problem is the singularity.
That happens because the math used to describe gravity shits itself when it reaches a certain point. Doesn't mean there is an actual singularity, it means that is the limit of what einstein's equations can describe, and you probably need a unified field theory to really answer that.
>>716276732>Being spaghettified would kill youYou're not being spaghettified, or rather you're not being spaghettified worse than you are by earth's gravity.
Black holes are weird, the "surface" of a black hole, the event horizon, is a two dimensional object. As the mass of the black hole increases the size increases by the square, not the cube, because it doesn't describe a volume. The more massive your black hole the less dense it is.
Spaghettification is only really a problem on stellar mass black holes.
Again, you're fried by radiation long before that happens.

Space is being fucked so hard by a point of infinite density that fundamental things you and I take for granted, like being able to move in multiple dimensions, are actively being suppressed by physical phenomena far in excess of anything nature trained us to comprehend.
Raise your hand. Move it back and forth. Now imagine that whichever way you move it, it is always going towards the same point, no matter what. You try to move backwards, but that also just takes you closer to the point. You spin around, but you don't, because that implies a direction which isn't 'toward the singularity' is being allowed to exist.

I highly recommend the Manifold books by stephen baxter. The first book deals with deep time, where humanity is the only life in the universe, and the last survivors are basically inhabiting boltzman brains who trigger a vacuum collapse that will create an infinite manifold of new daughter realities from this one, hopefully where they're not the only life there is.
But a big part of the book is them bringing some humans forward through time to try and explain what they were going to do. Has a lot of cosmological Darwinism which is a fun concept.
The second book is about the fermi paradox and great filters.
The third book isn't great, but a lady jerks off a caveman.
Baxter was an aerospace engineer at boeing (when that meant something) who decided to write some hard sci fi.

>>716280692>Is it true that if a giant meteor or something were on collision course with the earth we would be fucked because we'd only find out too late and have no way to stop it?Really depends where its coming from. There is a lot of shit in the orbit of the solar system, but most of it has stabilized pretty well that the biggest shit has already hit or got thrown out to other orbits where it either hit or got thrown out to other orbits...
But nasa has been trying to fund a survey of this shit and a constant monitoring system for years but no one wants to pay for it.
That being said you can still get blindsided if its something that comes between us and the sun.

But when you start applying it to crazy huge scales the observations drift farther and farther away from what we expect.
Instead of throwing out the whole thing (which, again, that has been super accurate and helpful thus far) you start looking for things you may have missed that would account for the difference.
Dark Matter is that difference between observation and expectation, it seems to be a semi consistent variable, so the likely answer is its something we haven't seen before because it barely makes a dent on massive galactic scales.
