>>716349640>can't merge the water content between two pots so I can fill it up enough for a soรผpthink you can? should be press F whilst holding one to pour it into another
alternatively find a water dispenser or a bucket and pour the pots into those, or maybe even a sink
>>716348290Try putting on the order charm, it (at least it used to and I don't see it getting nerfed in the patch list) boosted ALL of their drops, not just ammo as a hidden effect
I was using that half life sound and scientist sounds mod but the audio sound is all over the place, gun shots are SO FUCKING LOUD
>>716350410thanks for the tip
>>716350285I got nothing here. Both pots are filled with the same amount of water which is that I got after purifying tainted water.
Man, training strength is BORING.
>>716350664you probably need the cooking pot on a stove to pour water into it, but you still wouldn't be able to fill up your water bottle from it
you can only fill up your water bottle from a water storage item like the water cooler or a sink, and you should be collecting water coolers anyways as theyre the main early game water storage furniture
>>716348456Every drop isn't 100% random. There are drops that only happen if you net them first, and some other nonsense.
>>716351149I played it both ways and had fun
Singleplayer is good, you can take your time and explore and you don't have to share resources

>>716351149Am currently doing it and it's good if you play to explore. I do wonder how cooking xp grinding works in coop
>>716351418It can be a bit miserable
Meanwhile in co-op you can sneakily heal everyone while they're not paying attention and grind medical
>>716351514Game must be easier? I'm still early but I imagine the beaky shits which charge you with thunder must be a cake walk since they focus only one dude
>>716350781I maxed out my strength just by looting everything and being yellow encumbrance whilst avoiding red so that i train strength passively just by walking

>>716351786You actually train STR much more effectively when you're between red and max.
How do I get the electric dreams achievement? Where is this ''the end''?
>>716353857it's a fine border though, i'd rather be able to loot freely than actively watch my weight whilst exploring
if you're trying to grind and max out strength ASAP then sure going for that sweet point and doing an swole routine of

Is the Wessex Rifle even worth it to farm anymore, assuming you upgrade it? The upgraded Magbow gets 2 shots and does 170 damage while being able to retrieve the ammo for it. I have 71 hours in my game and I've only seen a single Wessex rifle drop so far, which I stupidly left on the floor because I didn't think I would bother using the arm wraps and didn't know they were gonna remove the restrictions on it.
>>716355162I've been using it this whole run and it's actually my bread and butter now, one taps nearly any human enemy to the head and feels pretty slick once you get used to the painfully slow fire rate
>>716355162>>716355504also with the full sniper set you have zero sway on it which is massive. But that does also apply other guns so it's not like it makes it that much better
Are heavy weapons any good?
>>716355727the new flamethrower sucks shit, after you use it to melt a couple ice walls it goes in the bin, deatomizer is the single biggest fuck you in the game to anything though
>>716355504>>716355632Damn it, guess I'll keep farming for one then. Are there any portal worlds with sniper spawns in them, because the only one in the facility I'm aware of is the guy on the hydroplant catwalk (only up to reactor D in my save atm)

WHY ISN'T THE WIKI UPDATED
I only pulled a single power cell in Flathill because I didn't want to do the obviously bad idea suggested by Mortimer and let the monstrocities out, yet somehow I found Mortimer wandering around the reception plaza near the portalworld hub. What's the deal?
>>716356029Don't forget to equip the sigil of the hearth
>>716357017pulling one is the same as pulling all three, you release the mist
>>716357017I did that when I first played, you leaving and continuing the story made the flags trigger anyway
>>716356029Oh I forgot to mention also, one of the later areas in Reactors has a control room kinda area with 4 snipers camping it
>>716355727the first couple heavy 2 handed melee weapons are usually lower DPS than the single handed melee from my experience
crowbar 2.0 and laser katana onwards they become viable, more because the single handed weapons plateau in terms of damage by that point in the game
atomizer is my bread and butter, shit melts almost anything and everything but the only risk is how far it runs out of charge, and you need to deploy a charging station to recharge it
>>716355882i tried the two new flamethrowers and both do more damage to you than enemies, anything that leaves fire on the ground is generally ass including the new lodestone hammer
>>716357017He's one of two wandering traders that'll randomly appear
enjoy being jumpscared by him now
>>716355162the magbow was expensive to use because it used lodestone fragments which you could only get from a handful of enemies in canaan
now that all the sisters drop it in shadowgate it becomes a lot more viable
Are there any npc bots who can assist in singleplayer?
>>716357487you can get an armor set that summons an alien to fight with you but that's about it
>>716357245That's retarded when he the quest flag the game gives me specifically refers to pulling all three. It it's part of the progression so be it.
>>716358070Yeah, there's no way around it, I think opening up manufacturing is what makes the fog cult guy vanish

>>716359987have you played any other sandbox survival game like 7 days to die, ARK, minecraft, terraria, valheim, pal world

If you kill the giant one that roams there running around you will obtain the gemstone it has on its head, with it your pets and the minion that anon mentioned will get buffed by A LOT, it one taps some late game enemies
In Reactors the radiactive plant on the left has some cute bullsquid looking dudes, you can tame them like pests and unlike them you can carry in your inventory, and with an upgrade you can use them as a weapon like the Spore Launcher in Opposing Force.
They also get affected by that gemstone, they pack a punch with it and get tanky. You can build a pocket army with those

>>716359987You're making your way through a facility that's Black Mesa crossed with SCP, and you craft equipment and items to fight the aliens/military.
Feels like a new half-life game but you're playing as the science team instead, doesn't feel as sloppy as the typical survival craft since there's persistent level design.
Is this game a wiki game? Should I have the wiki open at all times on monster drops and maps?
>>716362926I play without until I'm totally stumped by something. You might miss out on little things here or there on a first go around but you can always come back to them as far as i know
>>716362926na you should figure things out rather quickly the more you discover, you also have a pda that tells you useful info like items needed to craft or food ingredients
>>716362926it's more fun without a wiki, the game tells you the direction of where to go and as long as you're taking time to read emails you'll make discoveries on your own
Anyone know what the baton's upgrade needs? I've got sensors and magnetic alloy but there's a mystery material I somehow dont have
do the order medics drop their armor now? I heard they do
>>716362926Mostly no, you might need to look up guides if you get lost in zones but all the crafting stuff is very obvious, the game unlocks recipes when you find new materials and then tells you what you need and how many
you might need to occasionally look up the wiki to see where certain materials come from as some only come from portal worlds that arent part of the main quest and a side diversion (fucking digital gold)

>>716363816as far as im aware the only things that required special attacks were rat backpack and the order's helmets (hit em in the headwith a blunt object)
for armor you just kill and butcher their bodies and pray to RNG. Apparently if you get the sigil trinket it boosts armor and weapon drop rates, not just ammo
>>716363626medics, snipers and you get an officer set at the end of the new portal world.
>>716364005not just officer, if you look in the order armory you can get the heavy shotgun enemy's armors too
Is there any way to get these to play something aside from Corporate Programmingโข?

Is this game comfy and relaxing where you can take your time, make your base and explore, or are they gonna bust my balls with time limits/limited items and other similar bullshit?
>>716357017There are no choices to be made within the story that affect anything. It is strictly linear progression and if you attempt to circumvent this each flag checks all the previous story beats as you achieve it, so you can't really skip anything.

>>716366624There is nothing in the game that is "time limited". But there are cyclic respawns of portal worlds each week if you do not occupy them with a workbench, which is strictly beneficial. There is an infinite amount of items to get, though some may be from areas or enemies that don't often respawn etc. You can adjust this further in the sandbox settings for both a new world and a current world at any time.
It is extremely comfy.
>>716366769You need black oil, Butchering inkfish can give you it, The new rats also drop it.

>>716367712pretty bad, save your money for slushie machines
like any survival game you're supposed to scavenge or grow food, you can cook the meat aliens drop for early game hunger although it's slightly radiative
>>716367798As I recall, only inkfish do that.
>>716367712your food problems go away once u get the greyeb seed (labs) and space lettuce as it just needs 1 greyeb fruit, 1 lettuce, and one tomato/super tomato and it fills half ur hunger and thrist in one go
>>716367798it's a quirk of that particular fish, you can craft bait which increases the chance of catching a "rare" fish as well as the prize king/queen fish
>>716358292personally i feel like the game should react to you not fucking up critical containment procedures and getting to the end in a mostly compliant manner
>dont free flathillyou can just take one and wait for a portal world reset
(actual spoilers)
>dont release cahnnot sure how you'd do this, exactly. given that he frees himself the second you reprogram the command center.
i forgot what exactly is locked behind that.
>dont free the wayseekerso the big thing here is that you need to get through the praetorium.
you need two things:
1. the sun touched buff, residences WILL kill you rather quickly without it, even if you have +5 cold protection. you can technically get to residences as soon as offices, given that they are both connected to the wide open area of hydroplant. but thats useless without sun touched.
2. tactical scrap. this is for the motion devices used to fuck up the shield generators
now, this may seem impassible at first, but the praetorium portal is in the far gardens, and you can actually get up here. it takes excessive mobility, but you can do it with everything before reactors.
the only question for if this is possible, is if the portal up there can be activated without freeing the wayseeker. if it simply activates by you getting up there, then its possible to beat the game without freeing the wayseeker. if its explicitly tied to freeing the wayseeker and jumping through its portal then yeah you're fucked in that department.
>>716360197So like it is stages you coop together to beat and the game has a proper ending rather than letting you muck about doing random things? Can you go back to them ?

does the freezer in the cafeteria preserve food?
>>716371781If you put a chest in there I think so, dont leave food outside as it'll eventually despawn
problem is that the hedgehogs like to spawn and then attack whatever's in that freezer so i had to stop using it
>>716371412I played it alone before 1.0 hit; got up to the end point for what content did exist.
I'd say yes, but you may want to consider dropping enemy health slightly and/or upping the amount an item can stack in your inventory before taking up another slot. Enemies are pretty tanky, especially late game where I would mag dump into someone's head and it'd still take a bit more. Also, playing solo means you have to balance gathering resources while keeping all of your usual equipment (weapons, ammo, food/water, teleporter device, etc) on you alone. So I often felt like at least a solid row of my inventory was taken up at all times.
Even playing with default settings though, it was a blast. Definitely a few moments I could tell would've been easier/less tedious with another person, but totally manageable regardless.
>>716371740Kek the reason I mentioned it is because ol' tsundere is on the loose again. Just one of those things I might have to deal with every so often. Hard to think of ways to mitigate that since the single laser providing power to the whole base was cut.

Is it true that a 2nd Leyak spawns after you contain the first one? If so what the fuck is the point of containing it
>>716377375The Residence sector has an upgraded Leyak but containing the first one frees you up from Science wing to Reactors
>>716377490What is upgraded about the 2nd one? I'm guessing you can't contain it?
>>716376882I think we know why it hasn't. Some people just have a survival crafting allergy (especially because of all the bad ones saturating the market).
For me, being a love letter to Half-Life was all you needed to tell me to dive in. I know I'm not normal though.
I just got to the labs for the first time and almost shit my pants when I saw the Layek hanging out just outside of my base back in the offices what the fuck
Starting to feel pretty overwhelmed. I made it through manufacturing and there's a way into the fleshmines and there's a way into this area with really strange looking structures where the militants are patrolling on catwalks. Mines attempt ended up wtih my cornered and killed, and with the only real gun I can use being a pistol with little ammo at my disposal every fight against a group of militants feels like a panicked DPS race. Are the scrapguns any good?
>>716377681I knew nothing about this game when I bought it back in november, but the somewhat half life vibe and characterisations is one of the things that drew me in early on, then add in supernatural elements of scp with a huge environment that tickles that explorer part of the brain (even if trying to remember how to get anywhere can be a bit tedious at times). It has a certain charm to it.
I'm starting the game and its been fun so far even tho I can't stand scary games, is there a special place to make your base? or can it be build anywhere?, also what's the thing making the stepping sound at the start of the game?
>>716378218I would recommend picking a moderately large room somewhere close to the main plaza for your first base. It doesn't have to be your biggest base, hell it doesn't even have to be permanent. But the plaza is a crisscross of roads that go everywhere in this game, so somewhere very close or inside here is going to be most convenient.
Eventually you'll get teleporters and stuff so even remote locations become fine, but you can basically move any time.
>>716377582in soviet russia, leyak stares at you.
So which scrap/ generic loot items you shouldn't keep picking up and hoarding, there's no fuckin way I need everything but the rat pack in me can't stop looting
>>716377582Not much of upgrade tho, just more damage and some freeze debuff . You can contain him just fine but limited to Residence to Shopping District. Need Ice cream, Flathill should be good.
>>716378776Just keep it all, you get an item sorting pad later so you can have a huge wall of chests
>>716378776I have four huge file cabinets I have vaguely divided between: Tech bits, organic bits (wood paper cloth etc), metal bits, and miscellaneous bits (random office supplies shit)
Take a look at what you can make with the recipes in your crafting bench and start picking up stuff you need. You can pin recipes and ingredients for those things will be highlighted yellow in containers. I have so much wood planks, tech scrap and metal saved up I don't really collect it anymore because I had a shitload once I raided the cubical room in Office Sector.
>>716378776It doesn't hurt to horde most things. You can probably stop focusing on them when you have a couple stacks of each, though I don't recommend NOT dropping fresh shit off in your base every time you get a full inventory.
Wood, rebar, and computer internal parts are good to have a lot of. There's a few odd items you might not think to grab but can really use (phones, newspaper stands, blue plastic barrels).
>>716378056scrapshot is insanely kino early game as long as you cram the barrel down their throat
>>716378056Scrapshot is really cheap to make ammo for, but even against the militants you'll feel like you are only just barely cutting it. Like anon said, you have to jam the barrel down their throat, and it takes a while to reload, so you better be able to retreat.
>>716379869Honestly I find it better to just get an elemental spear ASAP and poke them in the face.
>>716379921I took a mixed approach in hopes I could spare my weapon durability and ammo. But yes, the electric spear is good.
>>716377582It can freeze you and is probably slightly faster, but can still get rid of by just staring.
>>716380003Oh and a big thing to do if you use shields is get the "heater" shield since the babby plastic shield can't block gunshots.
>>716379921>>716380003The welding spear? Still feels like it takes way too many hits, same with the thermal mallet.
>>716380106I always fucking forget I even have a shield. It's not in my nature to "right click to defend." All offense, all the time.
If I get the message that something ominous is in the air "aka base invasion". Do I have to rush back to my base to prepare for it? Or can I take my time.
>>716380250You can usually take some time. Invasions occur around midnight, and you get the warning much earlier than that.
>>716377681I don't care really. I actually don't want it to blow up the more I think about about. They'll then dumb the game down and release it on console if it gets popular on pc and they'll censor it.
I'm glad pc gaming and steam deck is still niche and keeps the console retards out.
>>716380184Welding spear is OK for as long as it being the best thing you can make, but lightning spear became a mainstay for me for a long time.
>>716380234Enemies just don't die fast enough to avoid damage by sheer aggression most the time, especially if there's multiple of them.
>>716380416You're right, but tell that to my caveman brain.
>>716380415I appreciate giving me something to look forward to but at the same time it doesn't really help me now. I'll try out the scrapshot.
>>716380498Don't sleep on the scrap pistol either, it's better than you'd think and the ammo is cheap enough that you can just use it to smack things from a distance without too much worry.
>>716380498Manufacturing is rough to solo when you first arrive, there's no two ways about it. But yes, scrapshot is as worth your time as anything for that tier.
>>716378056For soldiers, i've been experiencing success by using both the makeshift crossbow and scrapshot one after the other. The first headshot from stealth with the crossbow stuns them momentarily and if you switch and hit them again in the head with the gun will kill them. If I miss the head then a few hits with my melee weapon will kill them fast enough.
>>7163803981.0 literally released it on PS5 and xbox retard
I am concerned I will run out of scrap metal. Since most of the furniture I got it from doesn't respawn, is there endless source of it somewhere or is much of the loot finite in this game?
>>716380621Ditch the crossbow and just get the pipe pistol, needing to farm fucking pens of all things for ammo is suffering.
>>716380730I use both the crossbow and pipe pistol. I haven't had much difficulty finding and hoarding pens desu so the ammo situation for it I don't think is a problem.
>>716380498Until you can use the magnum revolver or shotgun, stick to melee weapons. There's an electric spear that's extremely useful for manufacturing level stuff.
When you get to the labs area, get the antique shotgun, you don't need biometrics to use it.
Once you clear security, beeline the laser katana and disintegrator.
If you're getting your ass kicked by robots, make an arc thrower.
>>716380726You'll get access to a portal world with respawning furniture
>>716380726Portal worlds have all their resources reset periodically, that's where renewable collectable shit lives.
>>716380726Loot is as finite as you want, there's an option in the world settings to turn loot respawning on. I turned mine on because there's so much to craft and it all gets pretty expensive later on.
Robots are a good source of metal scraps, each one drops about 10. You also get one scrap for every soda can you drink.
>>716380825Local man skims right the fuck over the energy pistol that may as well have infinite ammo and is uniquely suited to dealing with sec.
>>716380826>>716380834Is the portal to Flathill with the composers one such place?
>>716380919Yeah, every so often you'll hear an announcement about a reset and everything in there will respawn.
I FUCKING LOVE SUGAR SLOP
>>716380890I've been killing robots by walking them into exactly 3 tripmines. Problem is that it takes screws to recharge and screws cost scrap to make.
>>716380959Generally speaking, if you have to take a portal to go somewhere and there's a loading screen involved, the loot there will respawn. The 2nd portal world is a great place to farm because you can accumulate a lot of rebar, silver scraps and metal there which is useful for later, also also 9mm so you can use your Glock more.
>>716381181sorry, meant as a reply to
>>716380919

>>716381294That's actually a much better plan desu. Will take less inventory space and cost no scrap.
>>716381356Damn, fair enough, its so small that I guess it didnt register to me as a full-on portal world.
Blunt or sharp? I went all in on blunt since I picked the defender class start but I dunno if I should stick with it.
>>716381435I think they added stuff to it recently
>>716381538I tend to find myself doing both, each one is better for certain enemies and using the wrong one makes it take way too long.
>>716381538Sharp seems like it has way more options available to it in the late game. Blunt only has like 2 weapons that you can fight the higher tier enemies with. The actual perks do seem way better for blunt, though.
so what exactly is "holy" damage. i keep seeing it in the weaknesses for enemies.
>>716381829Lodestone bullshit
>>716380919Antiverse portals have all their resources reset twice a week. Flathill is one of them
>>716381901oh. of course.
so this whole time i've been wasting whole ass deatomizer charges on singular jotuns when i could've instead been using the fucking grinder launcher to make my life much easier.
>>716382123its insane how much better the grinder is than the lodestone crossbow already, and then the grinder got an upgrade and the crossbow didnt
>>716382475the worst part is that i've already beat the game so i can only hope that the devs actually do have plans for significant post-launch content.

It really is just another time wasting grindan skill

But then the portal worlds in those later areas still slap so idk. All the order armor sets are nice but why are they giving the grunt armour at the very end of the game
>>716382724>didn't play the gamewe know retard
>>716382724The funny thing is, it kindof is but kindof isn't? your building your base in a fucking half life lab which is all pre-set stuff, and your goal is to progress through a more or less linear story and explore these fucked up labs.
The base is just there to make soup, take a shit, trap the monster trying to eat your asshole, and craft new gear.
>>716382724>open worldnah it's a handcrafted, somewhat linear and compartmentalized map
>survival crafttrue but in a way incomparable to any other game trying to use that terminology
>>716382475As cool as I think it is that the Grinder stays useful the entire game, it's just crazy how fucking OP it is for getting it in the second area
>10 rounds in the magazine, 2 more than the pistol>Only 5 less damage than the scrap pistol, which is single shot>Basically the best gun you can craft until the Magbow which serves a different role anyway>Fully automatic>Reloads faster than basically everything else>Cheap ammo that can also be found in common crates>You get a lot of discs in a single craft and they can be upgraded into different damage type ones>Scales crazy well with the ammo pickup passive, basically extends your ammo by a good 30-40% depending on how vigilant you are about picking up the spent discs>only real downside is the slow travel time which isn't much of a problem because of the retarded AI and is fixed by the upgrade anywayIt's basically stayed on my hotbar the entire game, I don't see any reason to shelve it.
>>716382764Shame the portal worlds in 1.0 didn't really measure up either. Praetorium is a goddamn maze and the last 2 barely even count. Fragments was the best part by far but its still a really short area
>>716382969Using lode discs and opening with a sneak attack kills Jotuns in less than 10 shots, its fucking ridiculous

how the fuck do I kill the shotgun guys in the labs
every other creature (except the bots) was defeated by some manner of kiting, tanking, and power attacks with a broken rat scanner, but those fuckers are scary, tanky, and point blank 9mm mag dumping aint working.

Are the armor drops just random or do you have to net them like the Rat first? I've probably killed a thousand grunts and haven't gotten a single piece.
>>716385782Everything but the Grunt, Breacher and Captain armors are random drops, I recommend grind for the sniper set its really good.
My thermal hammer seems annoying to use more than anything
>>716385782If you aren't having much luck, give that order trinket a try and see if that helps

>>716385863Ty anon. I will stop wasting my time now
>>716386034I think it's a hidden effect, like the fog trinket working with the symphonist armor for a permanent speed boost
All I know is when I was playing a gun run back in September, when I had that order trinket on I was drowning in sniper rifles, hoods, journals, and flasks
I seriously had a crate just full of magnums and snipers
And I haven't seen a patch note alluding to it being reverted

sometimes you can find bags of poop in trash cans as well

Does the inventory management get better?
I have the try before you buy version, and just went through a portal to get 1 out of 2 heart things for the crafting table inventory pull upgrade. But thats not enough, and now im not considering buying the game because the inventory sucks. I dont have enough space and have to keep going back to my starting zone to drop off pens and papers.
>>716386548I've never done a playthrough with Vanilla Item stacks, and I never will. You can change the item stack limits and I highly suggest cranking it up to like 10x
You do get an item sorter and bigger chests eventually too.
Why do I need to precompile shaders every time I launch the game
>>716386548You can get better backpacks, and the item sorting/management in general is really good once you get going
In fact, it's some of the best in the genre
Protip: there's a good backpack hiding underneath the big office room
Protip 2: once you get the netting gun, you can net and then bash one of the gas mask dudes who show up for a really spacious backpack
Will I enjoy this solo? My group is playing Darktide now because of the sale so I won't be able to convince anyone to join me, but this game looks pretty interesting.
>>716386548also: make a platform cart
>>716364228the ability to add custom paintings and tv programs could be a neat idea for a future update, it's silly but it opens the door to a lot of multiplayer shenanigans or even just to make your solo base more customized and comfy
>>716386548you can increase stack size and/or decrease item weight in the sandbox settings when you create or load your world
there a few different skills and items to increase drop rates but it's normal to repeat areas in order to get more loot, portal worlds reset every few in-game days
also, enemy spawns will change a bit as you progress, for example exor monks become common enemies in the facility after you've entered the first portal
>>716367712I still have like 150+ dollars just from searching lockers and shit, so it's unlikely you'll run out unless you're depending on it for most of the game. Still, better to grow your own food.
>>716378218There will be pretty obvious places that make a good base and the map is structure to have a lot of ramps because you can build a dolley cart that you can lload most of your base into and shuttle off to a new location when you find a spot you like better.

>>716378218I think that stepping sound is just your character. For me it happens whenever I open a door (on xbox lol), but only once. Probably bugged.
also bases can be built anywhere but try to avoid where enemies spawn. I think having a claimed bed will prevent enemies from respawning in a small radius, but since you can base anywhere you're encouraged to have little forward bases in remote areas while you're doing stuff. Since you can only claim 1 bed, you might find an enemy in the other base, which is a little annoying but not THAT much of an issue
Thanks to the anon who recommended Flathill for grinding Sneak XP last thread, I was able to optimize it a little further by getting the crystal nigga armor and staying crouched near the composer in front of the courthouse, you can legit AFK farm sneak XP this way since he always stays in range of you and he can't see you while you're cloaked. Halfway tempted to just leave the game running overnight and just be done with it but given how badly optimized this game is I don't wanna fry my GPU.
>you can sequence break kevlar with sniper cowels now

>>716388078Self repairs itself too. Very useful for charging through machine gun fire that eats durability.
God damn the lodespear looks so fucking cool, Shame the arcbolt is basically a reskinned lighting spear.

>>716390597I'm having a cozy time, I sorta pitched it to a friend that likes to play crafterslop but he's been busy playing the new Palworld stuff so I'm running solo. I'm surprised there is some fairly basic QOL missing

I'm only at the second anteworld and a lot of the notes seem to be really worried about the state of these other worlds. If these are alternate realities, why worry about the infinite mass/energy train stopping and destroying that anteworld? Flathill I understand as it's more of a "we don't want the monsters there ending up here," same with the standard fare of the aliens that I've been fighting from the Far Garden which have been teleporting in Xen-style.
>>716351149Better in solo than coop. Play single player and it you want open it up later, or complete and then replay in coop. I'm glad I did single player so I could stealth, keep all the loot to myself, and not have anyone run ahead and discover things and trigger events without me.

Alright when do I get actual water filtering? The fact I'm even considering making four more portable stoves for boiling is ridiculous.
>>716386548Want a real protip? Go to the server settings and crank up stack size to 3x. You'll still get overloaded with weight so it's not OP but you get more bang for your buck with crates.
You also unlock an item teleporter that automatically sorts your items to stacks and a terminal that lets you pull items from your crates. fairly quickly, like midgame.

Did they remove the useless 'minigame' for blueprints where you just shove things into the print until it tells you you got it right

reeeeee, how the fuck do you fix and reintroduce a bug not once, but twice?
Anyone else notice furniture NOT respawning in Flathills? I need the red post boxes to make some hazard crates and an extra fridge, but those have not respawned for me. Not after 2 potal resets.
The small junk like money, nachos and peas have respawned properly.

>>716412331idc because my xbox buddies are playing w me this weekend on the game, pretty cool
Started playing yesterday, pretty fun and comfy (solo). I just got to the blacksmith and was thinking about relocating my base to the security office. What is the least painful method of moving shit around? Haven't really tried the cart thing yet.
>>716412658wait until you get teleporters and can just zap back and forth, otherwise the carts your best bet
I thought I was being very clever.
>>716413787But it seems he had other plans.
>>716412658for early game it's the handheld cart, it acts as a huge 3x6 chest so you can put quite a lot of stuff into it
i would say to keep progressing past the blacksmith as you eventually can repair the forklift, which is a vehicle + crate in one, but the security office is not directly accessible via vehicles

How did this HL1 survival game solve armor set bonuses when they don't really need to even be in a game like this
>>716421572the answer is "didnt even break its shield"
>>716421572i changed to dual hand the ramrod and if you just spam power attack on the heads it's a lot more useful, that's been killing the gatekeepers except for the jotun
>>716364501I get why they tried to do that to encourage people to look into soup recipes but you really shouldn't put something critical to progression under something that is largely only used for food.

Apart from that, I think sentry bots drop glass.
>>716435214I think mine was Flathill, just build a bridge from the corn syrup factory roof plaza thing to the arcade roof and you can make the run much less tedious
>>716435214Protip, if you're at least in Manufacturing you can also go fishing to get Radfish, when you butcher them you get their livers which do the same thing as the craftable syringes and are less annoying to get (IMO), only downside is you need to refrigerate them

>>716438923You basically need to be barrel-stuffing a soldier's head for it to one shot. The spread on shotties in this game is so ridiculously bad that unless your shotgun does a lot of raw damage per pellet it's not gonna one shot. The only real upside of the scrapshot is that in the exact situations where you can sneak up on something you can take at least one enemy in a group out for free, and it's useful for grinding reload XP

>>716444839Shit I don't even mean that I'd want to push that onto somebody else, I wouldn't mind doing base ops while stuff is getting done. That and just being able to split supplies between multiple backpacks would be fantastic. I got the Ratpack (solely because of metagame shit from reading the thread, how am I supposed to know that I should have to net them before specficially using a blunt weapon to kill them to get real loot? is that also the same as far as the militants? they instantly break the net stun before I can hit them) and between carrying around a screwdriver, blunt weapon for smashing loot, sharp weapon for gibbing corpses, healing stuff, several guns, ammo for those guns, grenades, bouncepad, charging pad, I'm losing over 2/3rds my inventory space. If those were split between a duo I'd be perfect.
