Just beat it, Verso ending. This might be the most rich, though-provoking RPG made in decades.
I know you were shilling it but you were right; GOTD.

Great game but it didnt stick the landing. The story had a great sense of intrigue but at the end of Act 2 the twist makes it so that the people of Lumiere lose significance. Even the whole avenging Gustave plot gets completely sidelined.

>Canon ending

Based. May Verso find peace, and Alicia live the life her brother gave her to the fullest.

That's something you decided for yourself. Those characters don't stop being real just because you can kill them. Source: you could be nuked right now.

I don't know, I liked Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty a bit better

Still a great game though

It's a good game, but we can relax a little bit about how thought provoking a fairly basic exploration of escapism is...
It's like when people were glazing Bioshock about how insane it is that it acknowledges that you actually have no narrative agency as a player in a video game, despite all the interactivity.
At the end of the day these are fairly basic things, no matter how much fun the game has with them.
