Porn goes across ideological lines because there is a not insignificant portion of the general population that is actually addicted to it. Suppress your average political ideologue's opposition or something their opposition likes and they're probably not going to care much, if at all, or they will support the suppression. But suppress porn and you will have people throwing a temper tantrum. It's like if you tried to take an alcoholic's drink away, or some heroin addict's drugs. They grow so attached to it that they identify it as an ultimate good before all else and will not leave any possibility that there may be an interest for society in curtailing it. Such addicts have already made up their mind on porn and hold an extreme emotional bias for defending it. Hence porn is a rallying point for certain people regardless of political ideology and even a sort of sacred cow. You will have nazis and trannies working together in unison to save it.
