I assume you mean July Direct but how much of an impulsive faggot can you be? You didn't build up a Switch 1 library of games that are now upgraded? Or understand that Nintendo is going to be pumping out like 10 exclusive games per year? I can't imagine wanting to sell this thing contingent on a single Direct, I was sold hook line and sinker off the April Direct and realized the best generation of Nintendo was now arriving.

The first month I was running through MK World, then went back and played a bunch of those upgraded Switch 1 games like TotK, 3D World, Odyssey, Pokemon Scarlet and so on. That and just a ton of Switch 1 games run better even without a patch. Now that Bananza is here I am balls deep in that shit, looking forward to Prime 4 and whatever the hell the big holiday game this year is.

I am honestly just pumped to hear about new updated Switch 1 games or Switch 2 editions, because chances are I already own like 80% of the games that are getting upgraded.

lollll 100% not happening. At the moment they can't even keep up to stock with the current Switch 2, and may have to increase the price because of tariffs. They're not doing any collectors edition with Pokemon/Mario artwork on the joy-cons or whatever, there's not gonna be a model refresh until like 2027 at the earliest. The OLED Switch had a smaller bezel and better battery life too, I would assume a newer model would include similar upgrades but the lower power draw CPU likely wouldn't be ready for another year or two.

Hardware-wise? The Steam Deck. There weren't enough (working) games to warrant it in the end, as it came out too late, and it was nowhere practical compared to the Switch 1 either.
In terms of games? There's a few since 2020, such as Serious Sam 4 or the Switch port of Corpse Party Blood Covered, but my experience in vidya gives me a good gut instinct of what I can expect out of the games before purchasing.

I've actually had loads of good gaming experiences on PS5. I played all the Resident Evil remakes, the Silent Hill 2 remake was awesome. FF16 is however real bad. I can't get myself to finish it. It feels like nothing you do in that game really matters
