as someone enjoying the game honestly a lot of this is true
broken enemy spawns. enemy actions are often laggy when you play online causing you to get hit out of nowhere. the weapons just don't feel that good.
and yes you really can't see shit happening at all especially when the boss or the flame enemies show up.
and maybe I'm missing something but in the 10 rounds I've played I've only seen 2 bosses, that swarm queen thing that dies in 2 minutes and then the Impaler... I at least had a round where 3 impalers showed up at once but really where are the other bosses?
By the way neither boss is any fun to fight, in fact fighting anything has pretty much no feedback until the enemies dies.

For a game with a community that's been on a campaign of hate for months and months hoping it would fail miserably, I'd say those are decent numbers.

It's by no means a perfect game and everyone will tell you it should have been an early access release(it should).
But the gameplay loop and game is still fun if you enjoy wave shooters, I enjoy it way more than KF2 by the fact alone that enemies don't randomly teleport next to you out of sight.

Well, I bought it and I played it.
This is the first Tripwire game I've played that doesn't crash at start or take ages to boot up. Also, it weighs 17GB, which is crazy for a modern shooter in 13,8BN+2025.
It seems that they finally decided to rethink their shit and develop a consistent experience in a sci-fi setting, instead of the strange mix of ideas we got in KF2.
As for the guns, they've all got unique designs, and feel pretty good, if a bit samey. They don't flop around on your screen or behave like fire hoses, so that's a nice improvement over the previous installment, though they lack the same presence in the game world.
Picrel surprised me. I've never seen such a design for a railgun(?). Pretty cool.
Also hot latina sharpshooter babe with hot voice.

I reinstalled KF2 and played a match to compare.
It's insane how much smoother KF2 feels and looks. You can actually see what's happening around you, guns feel meaty as they have proper feedback and the zed designs are just superior. Animations are well defined and the gore still looks good.
Movement is also better and Zeds don't spawn right next to you.

I haven't played KF2 literally in years, but I'd argue it's meant to telegraph the attack, so that's a game balance conceit. But even that aside, KF3 barely looks any better, which is unacceptable for a game released almost ten years later. Fleshpound doesn't even have that jump, instead it has different, but still wonky animations, has less visual flair and is less identifiable.

In a shooting focused game with poor mobility, it's a cheap way to add a jangling key that creates fun akin to the rhythm/dance genre where you watch the arrow pattern and react accordingly.

It's a little unintuitive, punishing and a lot of gamers struggle if they don't practise it.
It gets worse when it's not actually a core mechanic, e.g. in Vermintide/Darktide it's very useful but the game is about killing enemies quickly so you don't train the skill if you are actually playing correctly.

I'd say it's only "good" in games like For Honor where not only is it a core mechanic but the dancing is explored... as it is in any good fighting game. A shame that there aren't really any PvE "fighting" games.

I would also say the "correct" implementation of this in Killing Floor would be to... shoot the weakspot, i.e.

Mechanically they're very similar games, so all that's left to compare are the aesthetics. So when KF1 is good, visually attractive, and has a quadrillion maps, what is the benefit of KF2 or 3.
