They opened 2 name reservations per account so take it with a grain of salt. People have created multiple accounts to reserve lots of names. I myself have 4 accounts just so I could get all my characters out of the way ahead of time.
Comparatively there's around 35k on their discord. Launch is still going to be absolutely fucked as servers are only going to be able to hold like 5-7k players.

Epoch is built around 3.3.5 with Wrath talents and skills, retuned around level 60. World has been retuned for a more 'original' leveling experience, were Wrath talents/skills often trivialized old world content.
But beside that, they're relatively similar.
Basically depends on what sort of game you want. Leaning on Wrath values Epoch will be more cleave heavy. But looking at some of the raids it might also be some of the worst of retail mechanics in encounters.
We'll have to wait and see.
