We're living in a time where hardware success means jack shit because there's only so many people you can reach by focusing on hardware as opposed to selling software and services which can reach potentially billions of people. Gone are the days of exclusives being basically a necessity because of complex hardware differences between platforms. Now everything is just one variant or another of a standard x86 or arm based personal computer. Porting between platforms is virtually trivial. Will become even less of an issue with AI.
