TQ1 is pretty good when you figure out how it works. Set the game speed to very fast, it's just like Brood War where it's pretty much unplayable unless you're at the fastest game speed. Also, targeting is very different in TQ1 compared to other Diabloclones, if you select a target, you will lock onto that target until it dies, even if you hover over to another enemy. The enemy you are hovering when the last enemy dies becomes the new target. This makes melee gameplay extremely smooth when you realize how it works, and now I can't stand playing melee in any other ARPG because TQ1 basically perfected it for the genre.

I have 1000+ hours in GD, it's a good game. Titan Quest has unmatched aesthetics that carry the game for me, but GD preserved the SOVL, and made gameplay and build crafting much more enjoyable. PoE2 is not releasing for at least a full year from this post, probably longer. That is unless they force out a half baked "1.0" to make it f2p before it is content complete.
PoE1 is really good and worth playing, though right now it is near the end of the league and everyone is playing the mini-gauntlet event (not for new players, it has retarded modifiers).

With PoE2 the 0.3 update is coming at the end of August, I think. PoE2 is the best playing ARPG with a controller. Next up is D4, honestly, its controller implementation is good. Last Epoch is fine with one too, but crafting sucks with it.
Also Last Epoch is gonna have its new season near the end of August too, they already announced it. You're kind of in between all of the major content updates for these games.
Also, frankly, PoE2 and 1 are so different that I don't think you're gonna not think PoE2 is "Fresh" unless you play like 5k hours of PoE1 somehow.

Thanks. I tried it some more. The 20% chance with up to two checks per second felt kind of shitty even when I also take the flow on dodge. Its as much the unreliability as it is the flakiness of the refresh on kill. Having to use mouse to dodge around while also clicking on the fifteen pixels that are the particular enemy that can be executed with the punishment if you misclick making the skill go on cooldown feels really crappy, thats assuming you even guess the damage vs hp correctly and don't just end up trying to execute and having it do not enough damage anyway.

Trick shot seems really strong. Rips through mana but damage is absolutely bonkers. Also it says you have to have a dagger spear or ranged weapon but if you have a dagger in your offhand you can use any one handed weapon with it in your mainhand, seemingly.
I couldn't figure out how to do throwing greathammers though. Maybe it just works with any one handed weapon despite the description saying dagger, spear, or ranged weapon.

Yeah it's been carrying me so far. It's so strong that I didn't know which mastery to pair it with so I just went Storm to get the Energy passive. It's doing fuck all though so in hindsight maybe warfare for more damage would have been better.
