GTA V cannot be as good in the story department as RDR 2, the setting just doesn't allow for it, cowboys and the old(ish) west are plainly cooler. It has a decent chance of being a better game to play, if they've made significant improvements to character controls and so on. I really hope it takes some cues from Max Payne 3.
There is absolutely no doubt it's going to be the biggest entertainment related cultural event in decades though.

If so, I might try it. Could just about get through GTAIV, quit two thirds into RDR, couldn't even get one third through V, didn't even bother playing RDR2.
