It's interesting for me at least. I only knew of nobunaga going into their games and ended up researching all the daimyos that are in the game afterwards and comparing the realities and the creative liberties they took for their game. Same with Rise of the Ronin.

Not really. I tried playing it again and the level design was such a far cry coming from Wuchang. The combat has more going for it but I really wasn't a big fan of the encounters in the game. It also some feels a bit cheap production values wise even compared to Wuchang which is made by a new dev.

There actually is a decent amount of other stuff that never makes it to the west because exchange of media is basically a one way street between the west and china. Chinese shit just isn't popular and there are very few chinese actually interested in spreading their stuff outside of china. That said, so much of their history was destroyed and suppressed, so obviously the only stuff you hear about is the stuff the chinese government doesn't mind you learning about.
