I preordered it on GMG because it was almost 25% off compared to Steam.
/v/ and I have opposing tastes so given how much the board loathes F it guarantees it will be a decent game at worst, as shown by games like Expedition 33 and Shadow Labyrinth, which have been my favorite games this year so far.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but can you elaborate on what you mean in regards to SHF specifically?

From what I understood watching the video the OP's boss is an unbeatable encounter you're supposed to avoid while you turn a crank and then you run away. It's not hardcoded, you can fight back, but the weapon durability system means you run out of a means to fight back before you can beat it.

I already accepted Silent Hill died, way more than a decade ago. I really like they are doing something different. It's sad they can't stop using the same IP but fans already know the magic of first four games can't never be repeated since different time, different developer and different expectations from the audience.
