>>717132986 (OP)you lost, Luddite.
I do use generative AI from time to time for things like inspiration, but I don't know if I'd actually use it in the final product.
why do trannies hate AI so much? dont answer, it's because they buy hentai porn from tumblr artists or something, right?
>>717133201yeah, their favorite furry knee inflation diaper shitting artists went out of comission and they are still butthurt about it.
>>717133201A majority of people almost always hate and underestimate new tech. Just watch, 10 years from now, even grannies will be using it in day-to-day life.
>>717133201It's actually the opposite. Think of who AI benefits: those with no skills. Tons and tons of losers who couldn't achieve anything. "I can't do that, I don't have the talent!" they cried. So they waited until it was literally a button press away so they could pretend like they can do something. People like you see Indians spamming AI slop and think "I wanna be just like them!!!" Think of why. It's because you're worthless.
AI fans are like incels who want people to think that them fucking their own hand is totally the same thing as getting a woman. It's hilariously pathetic. You lacked the will to accomplish anything. Or perhaps you just got a really bad hand in the genetic lottery and genuinely are too unintelligent. Sad.
I used AI to write an AI that plays video games for me, so I'll have more time for video games. It's a real load off.

curious
I'm not trannie but
1) Every single work of creativity I've seen from AI is the definition of soulless slop. The most bland shit imaginable--regurgitated.
2) Whenever I ask AI about something I know nothing about, it seems knowledgeable. When I ask it about something I know a lot about (but I want to learn more) it is full of shit, "hallucinating" right and left. Its the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect on steroids and we've alraedy seen the negative effects on real professionals who tried to use it in their field. We don't need more incompetent lawyers, doctors, or, god forbid, engineers
3) Ever talked to AI customer service? ASS.
It probably has its place in entry level something or other.
>>717133580Nothing you said made any fucking sense
>>717134116>a retard with a calculator isn't a mathematician.A calculator won't solve an equation you aren't sure which you need to use for a problem, dumbass. Meanwhile, AI will try to solve your problem with a completely nonsensical answer. I've seen retards like you bring up the "hurr durr calculator" rebuttal a hundred times already, even though the applications of that kind of tech are nowhere near as damaging as AI has shown to be.

Now if you'll excuse me I have a busy evening ahead of me jacking off to incredibly specific text adventure scenarios I've spent hours perfecting. Three years ago AI couldn't:
>make a picture worth shit, just colors and blobs
>carry on a conversation, just kept reiterating the same things
>make music at all
Now AI:
>can make any picture in any style in 10 seconds
>can DM a D&D session giving dialogue to all the characters and fabricating a story
>can make any song with any lyrics in about a minute
I know it's not "good enough" for luddite complainers who think making things makes you special (it doesn't), but in less than five years it's going to be indistinguishable from anything a human created.

AI is excellent for solving problems you already know the answer to AND can be verified objectively. It can't paint a picture, and it can't create a story, but it can code, it can calculate, and it can iterate and improve those processes way faster than a person can.
For example, I use AI to design websites. I KNOW what the final product looks like, down to the height of the text boxes in pixels and the hex code of the colors they use. Because I already know the answer, I just tell the AI to arrive at that answer, and if it gets something wrong, I explain what's wrong until its output coincides with my pre-existing vision. If that pre-existing vision is bad, it is a failure on my part as an artist, not the result of the AI. If I did it myself or hired someone else to do it, then the journey to get there might be different, but the end product is objectively, quantifiably, measurably identical. The thing is the AI does it minutes while me or some flesh and blood code monkey would take hours or days to, again, get to the same place.
That said, I'd never use it for music or art right now like so many retards do because it can't iterate on those things. If it generates an image, and it doesn't match your pre-existing vision, you can't say "change this detail" or "make the colors darker/brighter". You can only try to make it produce another image from scratch using additional instructions, meaning you'll never really be able to take part in the creative process, just continually ask a retarded genie to give you something approximating what you want until you give in and say good enough. It's completely different.
>>717140134lots of jeets use it because they're retarded drones who need an internet browser to create something for them, like you.

He's right, somewhat.
AI (with corresponding machinery of course) is expected to take away somewhere around 30% of US jobs within 10 years, and will impact at least half of all jobs. This is the standard number given by several major financial firms - and it's on track to do so.
Basically it's solid advice, only AI is meant to save labor. You aren't getting rid of 10 million jobs, only to hire 10 million AI engineers. The actual number will be literally 1 percent or less at the end of the day - that's not an exaggeration or anything, AI is meant to save labor and the jobs it replaces will be GONE, and the jobs it supplements will stick around in a reduced capacity.
Basically you should have some decent, flexible computer and AI skills because there's a 50% chance your job will be using AI in some shape or form, so for a future job it will be necessary - the only jobs this won't happen on are jobs where you work in the field - plumber, painter, ect.
Basically you all have been hyper-focusing on art and other stupid shit without realizing that the office workers are gonna go away, the McJobs are gonna be greatly reduced, and in certain areas they're gonna start rolling out automated stores entirely - likely they'll start getting their shit together and loading / unloading trucks automatically somewhere near the end of this.
>>717140456More or less, apply the saying "50% of solving a problem is figuring out what the problem is" and you've got a good estimate of what AI can do - it can solve said problem probably.
And as most people work a set job where we know the problem they're at risk of AI taking them away, they aren't creatives and they aren't piecing together million-piece abstract puzzles.
People get too caught up in art and chatbots and don't realize that when industries start tweaking models to suit said industry it's gonna wind up being more efficient than hiring some guy to work for 2,000 hours a year.

>>717141635The thing is that 30% of jobs over 10 years isn't even a lot - that's just 3 percent of jobs every year. They are trying to sell the moon, but at the end of the day industries actually are implementing AI in a wider scale now, and most people don't actually work a real, necessary job.
The number one thing they can cut will always be seen as people. This is true of pretty much every industry. Grocery stores especially are gonna be a big domino to fall, and I think once that happens people won't be able to deny it anymore - that will also be the canary in the coal mine, self-checkout has already been rolled out to the point where there's sometimes only one worker in said store on the registers in a given night, something unthinkable a decade ago.
Now start gradually replacing people in said industry, 30% over 10 years could be literally 1 guy every couple years for a medium-sized business.
>Self-driving carsRealistically automatic taxis are already on the road and electric trucks are soon to follow, and that major dock on the west coast was planning to automate a huge amount of its workers away but was struggling to break the contract with them. >>717144067AI literally saves me hours with just listing relevant libraries, functions or projects I can use. That alone is enough to make it worth using.
Retards ITT can't comprehend how much the fact that AI can "intelligently" comb through ungodly amounts of info for relevant stuff will completely change the world (probably for worse).
>>717144261exactly, AI is a tool like any other app or computer, the reason there is a lot of "slop" out there is cause most people are too fucking stupid to use it properly or in a good way. Same reason some people make ugly gens and other people can trick normies into paying for patreon AI art.
>>717144349even if you ignore image or video generation, an LLM can do basically anything with prompts, or any task, faster than an assistant could.
LM studio + uncensored models are so fun to use, and useful. can use uncensored llama 3.1, deepseek, whatever.
Give it 10 years and normies will tire of AI slop in the same way they're tiring of TV slop and movie slop. They'll finally be mad when corpos replace their jobs with AI, but it'll be too late. Fortunately, anyone with a brain knows AI won't ever actually be able to replace human beings and the cost will likely be catastrophic. It'll cost human lives at some point when some retard puts an AI in charge of a nuclear reactor or a heavy equipment movers or something else that seriously needs human beings to run. It'll kill a lot of people or at the very least cause the total collapse of some major company or infrastructure. Then people will hate it or there will at least be regulations put in place. The grift can only last so long before there's genuine consequences to rushing this unfinished and unreliable tech to market.
Thank fuck I work a job that cannot possibly be replaced by this current iteration of LLMjank that isn't even actual AI. Feel bad for all the mid-level tech and office workers that were convinced their basic computer literacy would net them a stable gig forever when it was foretold in the 90s that any job that was basic coding or data entry would be automated at some point.
Art made by humans will never be outdated. Slop always fails eventually. Just gotta sit back and watch the entire capitalist empire burn for a while once this shit fails.

>>717144823A lot of artists just don't have an identifying style that makes their shit worthwhile. I have a handful of favorites and they're mostly favorites because they do weird things that AI still can't, or they're good at the story/facial expressions/emotion that make the scene work. Just drawing a cartoon character getting railed was quite frankly NEVER good enough to set someone apart, it was just that a human artist was the only option and the sheer volume of consumers meant some level of business was guaranteed even for the mediocre.
>>717138670gabe's been fooled by the scammers and jeets, unfortunately.
anyone that knows what they're talking about knows that AI is snake oil for coding.
>it cant correct itself (even with help), cant even see critical errors that prevent the script from running>it makes code thats WAY too complex for humans to feasibly work with (meaning you cant build on top of what the AI made). note: this does not mean that the code is even remotely good>it wont design secure systems (ex: the tea app was "vibe coded" (made with AI))>the way it interprets things is too erratic and unreliable. if you say "make a system to use consumable items" in several instances of the same AI you'll get a wildly different output every time, and there wont be any reasoning for the differences>has severe problems with long term memory, even if it has full access to your entire code base it'll constantly forget that things exist>doesnt care about the actual user interface, it wont try to organize it for a better end user experience. the end result could be unusable outright>same goes for gameplay, the AI doesnt have a metric for "good", "high quality", or even "tolerable". chances are if you use an AI to help you make a game everything it generates will be atrocious to actually play through or interact with>wont optimize. if you try to make a pixel game chances are that it'll run like an over-bloated UE5 gamethats just off the top of my head
at its core, all this AI crap comes from prediction algorithms that have been trained off the entire internet (which we have had FOREVER, fuck we even had chatbots more than a decade before this AI crap)
doesnt matter how far the shills take modern AI, its biggest problems will never be solved because the flaws exist within the foundation itself
and as the cherry on top, it being a prediction algorithm means that it'll always give you the mediocre solution.
>>717145116The artists that survive AI will be the ones with incredibly unique and bizarre styles. We're going to see a resurgence of surrealist, absurdist, dadaist, etc. works of art because computers won't be able to keep up. And people who value art will become automatically dismissive of anything that can possibly be replicated by AI.
Physical art will also start having far more value.
>>717144931Hey dipshit we all know that factories have robots in them, that's not what he's saying. The robots can't fix themselves when they break down. The 5 ton robot arms can't climb into a hole to replace a fucked motor or a burned up relay. There is zero AI in industrial automation, and it's regulated that way, because massive machinery doing unexpected shit that some LLM hallucinated is unsafe for the human employees. There will never be an AI driven robot doing industrial tasks unless it's small and weak enough to be overpowered by an average man, and then what's the point of it?

>>717144584Most web searches require reddit after the query simply because the internet is flooded with shit for at least 5 years and google fucked up their engine on purpose. It doesn't change much.
The problem is that it lies way too much. If you ask it "does esp32s3 provide better pwm functionality than the old esp32" it will strait up lie to you and say that the newer version is better.
>>717133201Because its only usage is either pumping out github tier shit code or making the creative process easier for non creatives.

Devoid of any creativity or meaning.
>>717145273It's so funny how most people think AI = Language models with DL, when even a PID controller could be classified as AI depending on the definition.
>>717145317>like?Decent looking stomach bulges is the tamest example that comes to mind.
I've seen AI make a bulge and it's garbage.
But also, comics or consecutive images in general. It can make one image, but trying to get a second image with the same characters, with the same proportions, with the same clothing and hair, making a specific facial expression or pose, nearly impossible. So most AI is just one-offs with no context, boring.
a common ai shill talking point is the ridiculous claim that ai is just another "tool"
they like to sell the idea that ai slop is like invention of cars and anyone against is a horse fag
but that's hilariously inaccurate. ai slop is more like crypto or nft. in reality it's yet another meme tech and not an essential invention like wheels and engine.
a spoon accomplishes things, a wheel moves things, an ai slop wastes internet bandwidth. there is a clear difference here.
Never relax around tech niggers. They are nefarious and only care about profit thus will do thier best to shill this shit to general public so investors don't dump their scam

>>717145452No it fucking cannot. A PID controller is not AI. A PLC cabinet is not AI. A safety circuit is not AI. A Fanuc six axis robot arm is not AI. They're barely even boolean. >>717144931if we got to the point that fully autonomous robot bodies with AI pilots would be capable of doing physical, blue collar jobs while regular AI could handle digital and white collar ones, we would have much bigger ultimate issues on our hands, those being how much all that shit's gonna cost, who's gonna fix them in an industry that will be absolutely flooded with repairmen, and what you're going to do with a constantly bloating population that now doesn't need to work because the AI is doing everything of note? Just sit around all day collecting UBI welfare checks and spending them on corpos of choice while they constantly force out more and more and more content to keep the line going up? Shareholders suddenly disappear? The markets don't matter? None of you think the shit you say on this Polish dogwalking forum through, you just kick the can down the road and that fixes everything until you walk up to the can again
>>717144938AI can make video that doesn't look unnatural, and CGI can often look shit. It depends on the user using the tools.
>>717145526This a billion times over. It's the next tech bubble and it'll cost at minimum billions of dollars when it fails, and at worst actual human lives. >>717145526>Only care about profitsBut most people are using AI just for shits and giggles, while it's the traditional artists that screech about ownership and livelihood. You still need very specialized knowledge and real world interaction for that to happen.
>>717145640If we get to the point you're talking about where the question becomes "who will buy everything the robots are making since no humans are employed?", let's be real, it will not be the fault of anybody who is worth less than a billion dollars. >>717133580AI fags have to do such mental gymnastics to convince themselves and those around them they don't sound like a retarded loser
>>717146796Ask yourself why that happens instead of throwing a fit.
A person can look at a beautiful vista, and admire its beauty even though it is not human-made.
A person can lay by a river and listen to the sound of rushing water and be relaxed by the music, even though it is not human-made.
Why is it that when learning that a previously-assumed piece of visual art was made by something other than a human, a person's opinion of it changes? Hell, if you told them a monkey painted it they'd be more impressed, but if you told them it was AI they'd mostly go "Oh."
>>717146870Whenever you look at pictures, specially of gymbros and gym girls, people point out that sometimes it's possible to see that they photoshopped something. It's typically not a positive observation, because it implies deceit in the same way. Now when it's used in other contexts it's much more appreciated.
Low IQ 'people' should be denigrated and used as slave labor.

>>717147092even even the scammers hate being scammed. they're just opportunistic scumbags, another evolutionary trait of course
>>717147270Because people with the IQ beyond that of a potted plant can very clearly think 2 steps back and realize the basic fact that anything AI generates is just derived from blended up garbage that an actual human made at one point. "Oh" is the appropriate response because it has zero fucking value at all. It's SLOP.
Your weird comparison to the splendor of fucking nature to AI generated images tells me you're an NPC goon with no capacity for complex thought.
>>717147453fun fact: the AI ghibli craze ended up adding a permanent yellow tint to all generated images. sometimes its not noticeable, but its always there.
>>717147180The initial point I was making was that comparing LLM usage to any program you'd create CGI with is completely different because you have control over what's being created, whereas you're letting the LLM do the work when prompting. Editing stuff after the fact is a skill in and of itself. Why not do that for something you've had complete creative control over from start to finish instead?

easier = less money for corporations and executives

Nonetheless he's completely right, just like many other things it's just another tool, it allows you accelerate shitty workloads and focus on quality.
Just because pajeets are using it to make shitty no style no substance porn doesn't mean it's not an amazing tool, but it won't magically give you good quality, AI just magnifies what's already there.
This is specially true for the up and coming devs, you combine it with the insanely low resource intensive engines and what they can do nowadays and AA/indie developing has never been this easy and accessible.
If more people spent their time learning, using and taking advantage of it instead of crying like retards they'd be insanely ahead of the pack and their personal projects would be popping off but that'd require effort.

>>717150795>>717150802>I learned how to shoot a gun>I never missabsolute giga retards
>>717144312You can't possibly be more retarded than a jeet.
>>717150670Why is the perspective so fucked?
>>717150851it's based on human art
>>717150602Stop playing AAA slop, retard. Of course they will make the games cost 100 dollars and AI will be used only to shit out games sooner with less quality.
For small devs who actually want to make something good the AI tools will give them
>any texture they would ever want for free>zero time spent on useless shit like modeling desks and chairs>full voice acting>NPCs with an actual AI and not just having to draw rails on the ground for the NPC to follow and like two triggers of friendly/hostile>any soundtrack the dev could ever wantAny dev who cares about what they are making would make their own models, write the story and make the levels. But now you don't need to spend millions on voice acting and be an expert at making 100 different chair models.
>>717150883Actual tranime usually has semi decent perspective
That looks like images spliced together, the girls in the midground are like 2 feet tall
>>717150851it's a fisheye kind of lens. Not exactly a fisheye though
>>717150723>Saar ai bad because it will make me lose my job, also how will millions of my fellow saaars be able to immigrate to the west on h1b if there is ai?>but i am not a pajeet you are one actualy
>>717150904>useless shit like [details]See this is it right here, AI will always just be "good enough".
Yet all the classic games were made by small teams of dedicated artists focused on details, so unlike you I can't handwave them.
I appreciate the ease and access it provides, ill give you that.
>>717133580Based and gets to the root of the issue: AI is dysgenic as fuck. It not only elevates the ego of the arrogant useless, but it actively makes everyone who uses it even more useless and helpless. There's this notion that those against ai are some kind of dumb neanderthals, but ai normalization, much more so than smart phones even, will only serve to accelerate us towards idocracy.
>be artist
>search for waifu on booru
>find high quality AI art of her doing giga numbers
>great construction, pose, scenario, anatomy, and style (not that hyper-rendered AI style)
>only issue is that the cum has perspective issues (forgivable mistake)
>you will never be able to draw something at this level
Learning to draw in the AI art is demoralizing ngl
>>717150945>y-you are the jeetGrok generate me a better comeback please saar
>>717148932I am sure I saw a typing animation in Deus Ex, you could just re-use assets in-game.
>>717148730That's open source image generation, this is what DALL-E looked like 4 years ago on the left. Even then SD1.5 came out shortly after, you are being disingenuous, anon.
>>717151028in the AI art era*
fuck
>>717151020you are such a pitiful loser
>>717151103Asians always get so personal lmao
>>717150831nta but you are retarded.
AI will lie to you and if you already don't know what it's talking about you will not catch it because it lies with confidence. AI is like being thrown in forum full of trolls and asking for help.
Still, it's a tool.
>>717150831anon, maintenance of a skill is not the same as knowledge of how to use a tool.
if a gun has a very specific reload method and i learn it, i'll never need to relearn how to reload it because its been committed to memory
>inb4 "so AI is a skill then!"AI is, for the most part, you guessing what specific phrases will get you your desired output
skills are also not like that. you learn how to do something and then you can RELIABLY get your desired output.
we told you not to study art in school. now you know why.

I just don't get boomers, they have tools that can make their lives easier and still choose to ignore them
>>717151212>I learned how to draw>now I can draw anythingYES YOU FUCKING NIGGER THATS HOW IT WORKS.
>>717151212Yeah, with enough time and effort
>>717151238There's nothing satisfying about generating art.
>>717151256>>717151261my god you're fucking stupid, you can't draw shit
>>717151212I'm usually pro AI use but the more I interact with AI fags the more radically anti AI I become.
>>717151302>you can't draw shit>says the retard who generates "art" trained by real artists The ironing
>>717151217because tech makes 99% of artists obsolete, the only people with value are japanese manga artists who can create nice things and the other 99% are just copying them for patreon bux.
>>717151302because i am not an artist
>>717151168>you guessing what specific phrases will get you your desired outputThat's as stupid as saying that shooting a target is you guessing over and over where you should point the gun until you eventually hit it. I mean, you can say that, you are in a way, but then it still devalues your argument.
>>717132986 (OP)I used AI for my resume and it got me hired. So Gaben is correct that AI is a cheat code.
>>717151349>artists are obsolete because they dont get paidyou dont even understand what art is or why humans make it at all, I question if you have a soul
>>717145732selling cars makes much more money than running fast because people value being able to be fast way higher than paying someone else to be fast
>>717141635It will replace a lot of jobs. But not all of them. The rich people will still need human servants for example. The factories will still require a couple of people to service the robots and check up on the servers running them. Stores will still need a human or two to make sure the automated facial recognition is working correctly and to step in if it fails. Companies producing software will still need a couple of humans to check up on the code the AI generated. They'll still need humans to service the self driving cars and janny robots cleaning things up.
But we're talking about a huge reduction in jobs. Take the average office with say 50 employees. They will be reduced to maybe 5 or less people. The rest are "useless eaters" that will no longer serve any function and have no skills to work in the post-automation world. Even if they train and try to obtain skills to find a new job there will be so few of them that it'll be nearly impossible. You'll have to have a very high social credit score to qualify for the right to work in the first place. Only the trusted will be allowed anywhere near the robots and servers running the so-called AI.
The only question is will they buy off the "useless eaters" and feed+entertain them until they die. Or will they just murder them all? They've been talking about reducing the population for decades now. So I'm interested to see which way they go.
>>717151397>yellow fever coomer webmFucking KEK
So these are the people making these threads, the porn addicts from /gif/
>>717151297but AI can be used for more than generating porn...?
>>717151461you dont need money to make good art, im saying most people on social media complaining about AI art are making derivative slop.

>>717151485You fundamentally misunderstand what AI getting good means.
It means catgirl slaves grown in tubes.
>>717151545I dont use social media and I dont care what happens on it
>>717151550>muh dickI should have known it was retarded cumbrains making these ai threads lmao
>>717151523Correct. There is nothing truly satisfying about prompting "art". You created nothing.
>>717151594the most vocal critics of AI see AI as a threat. if AI is "slop" then surely these people can make infinitely better art, right?
>>717151461AI isn't stopping anyone from making art just because it will be economically unviable. Artistic expression is a LUXURY and no single person is entitled to financial compensation just because they go after their passion.
>>717151684Slop isn't in reference to the art. You can look at any booru and see that AI outclassed 99% of tranime artists.
Its about the human spirit, its about why humans make art in the first place. Asians literally cannot understand.
>>717151706the only way for artfags to make money is through porn, now AI does it better than most.
>>717151773yes, humans do make art: but AI is a tool, if you use a sketch and AI to make something neat, how is that different than people using a wacom tablet and photoshop? both are using digital tools to create.
>>717151706This. Aritst produce their best works when they're desperate and starving anyway. AI will prevent many from being able to become sellouts which will improve overall art quality since the AIs can then train on their work again.
>>717151082left captures expressionism far better than the right, AI researchers being autistic techbros will hold it back
>>717151594>>717151521it's always so sad to see anti-AI troons resort to posting like this as if they aren't the most degenerate fucks alive
>>717151773Art is liked because it looks good.
Art with backstory is better but most art that is consumed doesn't have anything to do with the human spirit.
>>717132986 (OP)He's literally right though. Being anti-AI may as be like being vegan. Your complaints and lifestyle choices are not going to change the fact that the thing you hate will remain the way it is until the day you die, at the VERY least. And while everyone else is enjoying the fruits of mankind's progress, you can just sit in the fucking corner and cry about it while you pretend like doing the boring parts of anything actually makes your project more "soulful" despite the fact that no one will ever see or know that you spent more time doing that than the people who took a shortcut.
>>717133580Why did you post this on a website?
If you can't write it by hand then you're clearly a no-talent hackfraud retard when it comes to expressing your opinion.
I expect a handwritten letter about this topic in my mailbox by next week or this conversation is over.
Guessing the AIfags in the thread want to see more 7 fingered zombies like in CoD, because that's what is going to happen with industry adoption.
>>717151684Even if you can make better art, you can't match it in speed unless you have a simple artstyle.
>>717151835It does a shit job of interpreting your sketch, that has been my experienced with ChatGPT. Only thing I am willing to call a tool is people using Stable Diffusion with ControlNet, and even then you are beholden to RNG.
