What the fuck happened to TF2?
It's just not fun to play anymore.

Everything that used to make it feel fun, enjoyable and comfy in the past just seems to have completely disappeared now with the introduction of Matchmaking. You're no longer playing it just for the sake of playing and fucking around, you're incentivized to be a try hard faggot so you can squeeze the most XP you can out of the match, ESPECIALLY since they design it so that the game won't give you the XP unless you sit your ass through the whole match, regardless of whether you waste your time getting steamrolled for like 10~20 minutes straight, instead of just getting XP based on shit like kills or assists or other character points. The Matchmaking system in itself is actual dogshit since half the time, you'll be put in teams with either retarded Russians or Mexicans, depending on your region, who don't even know how to play the game since they're hyper new to it, then you're just stacked against a team of tryhards with +10k hours in one class, golden australium weapons and unusuals wearing all over the place to show off like faggots. There's no fun in this shit anymore, it genuinely just turned into another one of those dime a dozen "competitive" shooters out there that do nothing but make you feel like you waste your time playing them instead of just having some good leisure time when you do play them.

Steamrolls previous to this update would normally just go for like 2 rounds, then usually trigger an auto-balance based on score difference between players, then attempting to even things out a bit and letting you get back to the rest of the map's runtime and turn things around. after that update, those 2 rounds you usually just breeze through and then that's it, map is over, and the usual auto-balance now doesn't trigger anymore unless it's for the specific reason that the enemy team happens to have less players than yours, so someone on yours just gets assigned to it at random.

I think MyM was a total piece of shit but I don't understand why people complain about it and refuse to play on community servers. There's plenty that are well-populated and there is absolutely nothing stopping anybody from playing on them. So many people will say in the same breath that the 'old server browser' was better and how there's no good games in casual matchmaking. The browser is still there.

Wasn't the whole point of the game itself that both teams were supposed to sort of just fight forever without a proper "win" most of the times?
Like, in the lore itself, the administrator just tries to cause the matches to last for as long as possible to make them go on forever and shit, and that was sort of reflected in the game itself before since you could have one match alone go for like 45 minutes straight without any clear winner. Introducing this shit just seems to have completely destroyed that concept which is paramount to the game itself.

and there's always some added excuse like "oh but the Server Browser isn't at the top" or "but I want Quickplay to plop me in a server for me." It's just constant empty whining when the solution is right in front of you. The only satisfaction is that the vast majority of people complaining about being unable to play TF2 are those who genuinely do not deserve to play it. To anyone reading this: if you bitch about having to actually use the server browser, know that you are genuinely scum, and that you deserve to feel both unhappy and unable to enjoy such a great game. It is gatekeeping manifest, and by god am I starting love Valve for it

No, its the exact opposite. You're incentivized to LEAVE as soon as you start losing because:
1. You know the match will never be balanced
2. The match will end 5 minutes anyway so you have no reason to stay.
As a result, the losing team is always down at least 2 players which enables the winning team to roll even harder.
The 2 round limit is by far the biggest issue with casual mode becasue the server barely gets a chance to warm up before its over. The XP system is completely redundant.

F2P utterly ruined match quality. It became completely impossible to actually enjoy the game unless you're a brony that only queues in mario kart maps or some other casualtard autism like 24/7 insta respawn 2fort.
