No, it's not good. You should just do 12 levels in either Ranger or Rogue instead of multiclassing for no reason. Ranger even gets a bonus to Sleight of Hand if you pick Urban Explorer, so there's no reason to be both classes.
Rogue (Thief) gives you two Bonus Actions, so the best way to play it is dual wielding light weapons.

Shadowheart is easily the hottest girl in the game, but her romance is lackluster and kinda boring. It feels like a very diet version of Morrigan's romance from Dragon Age, except without the elements that made Morrigan's romance so memorable.

Karlach's romance is okay, but I found her really insufferable as a character. Her vulgarity and her brass personality were massive turnoff and super cringy, and I say this as someone whose a huge tomboyfag.

Minthara's romance is actually pretty good. But I'm putting it last because it has way too little content, and what content is there, is very clearly unfinished. Act 1 is just sex, Act 2 is literally nothing, and Act 3 has some good scenes, but not enough scenes to justify romancing her over one of the other girls in the game.

Look at BG2 clerics. The arsenal of buffing spells they have is insane and most of them are exceptionally powerful. Most of that power is gone in 5e. Wizards/Sorcs lost a ton of power on their buffs as well - Improved Alacrity being just straight up gone and Haste getting the ridiculous concentration + exhausted handicaps - but Clerics arguably got it worse.

Meanwhile with Life Domain being a thing, Cleric healing got insanely buffed. To the point where theyre basically Warcraft Paladins that can AoE heal.

Clerics are the original magic super soldiers Paladins think they are. Resistance to focus on spells, insane offensive and defensive utility, insane armor and weapon proficiencies off the bat, excellent multiclass versatility. I seriously have never understood why clerics are slept on when pretty much every campaign I have played, I have only had 1 cleric not be a completely divine murder machine.

Thats how they USED to be, anon and thats kind of my point. 3.5 clerics were insanely powerful buffers and clild be every bit as devastating at high level offensive spellcasting as Wizards. 5e clerics are vanilla wow paladins with multi target healing. Their buffing power is a fraction of what it was and their remaining offensive spellcasting power is neutered compared to what it was. It sucks, I know. Im not a fan of it either.

The way I see it, Crusader LARPing is a big nono for Hasbro.
Also Paladin is one of the more common classes, so removing gods from the picture lets nu-atheist spaghetti monster and oppositional defiance disorder types play the character they've always wanted to play. Cleric was never popular despite being the strongest class in 3e, and if a fedora-kin or wicca-gurrrl wants to play a wisdom caster druid is right there.
