Aquaplus at least said they would consider a Dungeon Travelers 3 if there was interest, but not if their new masters just tell them it's "problematic" and contrary to the DEI values of their company. Look at Dragami Games over there, they're at least TRYING to do LoveR Kiss, with an accurate, non-pozzed translation at that, and what do you know, they're explicitly anti-DEI.

Steam has been getting worse and worse over the past few years. Nowadays they're hard-banning (no store page) even censored versions of Vita games like Dungeon Travelers 2 and Tokyo Clanpool. And from what I can tell, it is much harder to just patch out the content Steam hates from these games because you also have to do it in a way that doesn't make the game look like it's obviously missing content, because Steam will reject for that as well. It's much easier to do for simple VNs than it is for full-fledged games. which is part of why the majority of high-profile Steam bans the last few years have been (former) console games; they can't really "just" patch things out without obviously looking unfinished. Removing the rubbing minigame and censoring some CGs was pretty much all Eastasiasoft could do for Tokyo Clanpool and Steam still banned it.

Hmm, I don't have the mod myself. The 4 CGs combined are about a minute of the game (all are boss defeat CGs) and the game is 150 hours so I didn't actually bother installing it. Unfortunate if the mod is lost though.

The JP/CN PC release of the game is not censored so it was probably lifted from there.
It's unknown why Shiravune even left the censorship in the game because they didn't censor DT1 or 2-2 in any way. Maybe they thought it would improve the chances of the Steam release.

I don't consider Steam any better than current console policies. Yeah, they allow porn and unrated games. That's it. Within the confines of non-adult games that in theory should be able to release on consoles, they're not any better than their competition. Anything Japanese that would get blocked by modern Snoy or Nintendo will likely get blocked by Steam as well. So I do not feel the desire to fellate them.

It wouldn't even be that bad if the number of permitted activations wasn't so low. It would be acceptable if the number was like 10 or 8. Some games on DLSite have 5, and while that's still low, it's better. With only 3, for someone like me who has both a PC and a ROG Ally, downloading it to both of them would leave me with only one activation remaining in case something happened to either of those or I wanted to upgrade. The problem is the lack of a buffer.
