Steam Deck
Did you regret buying your Steam Deck?

I think the main problems with deck are short battery life, 800p resolution might be a bit too small, and its cpu+hpu has problems running newest and future games.

I finally played around with steam remote play. That shit is pretty cool. Games look objectively better when streamed from my main rig. I thought I had no problem with it when I first played MH Wilds. Tried again later that and DQ3, and it just wasn't working properly. Is this stuff just not super reliable?

No, I don't want to bother with moonlight or sunshine or whatever. I don't want to remote play that badly.

No moron. The actual 3 prong bumper button thats micro soldered onto the daughter board. It's a piss poor design that even valve admitted and changed it in the OLED model.
You can't get the boards from any reputable source. So, you risk buying shit eBay and hoping it works, or you're just fucked.

Based. I had a good laugh when Valve reported that a ton of Deck owners would have been willing to pay for a premium version had the option been available. If OLED was an option Day 1, you better believe I would have thrown my money towards that one.

No I'm actually heavily considering buying one
I have a fine enough PC that I will still use as my primary device, but I wonder if I should get the cheaper LED Deck or the more expensive OLED with general improvements to stuff like battery life. Mainly I like the idea of a chunky PSP-esque Linux device that lets me play older games in bed.

no, but i lament ive come very obsessed with customizing game controls

i started playing more games that already have controller support, but uh oh, my stupid brain still finds flaws to "fix"

>man Castlevania Dominus Collection accepts mouse inputs and controller inputs at the same time haha, would it be fun to add gyro controls so i can use touch controls AND control the character at the same time?
>oh you can change magic books in Harmony of dissonance without pausing the game? what if i make that a directional swipe on the touchpad for easy access?

oh and there are still PC games installed on my steam deck with unfinished controller setups

Because it is always out of stock. When it is in stock it's for a very limited time. I'm talking a few hours at most. If you want one you have to setup twitter to get notified if they are in stock. That's how I got mine. Check both twitter and reddit for refurbished mentions, every day.

Did you at least buy the Deck AFTER the other 2? There's really no point in getting an Xbox or PlayStation anymore. Xbox has been dropping all their games on PC on day 1 for years and it looks like Sony is gearing to do the same fairly soon.

I'd say you should have a beefy Desktop, a Steam Deck to compliment it, and a Switch for the exclusives.

Nvidia sees and knows this which is why they leave gaming behind and have become the highest valued company of all time simply on the back of the AI race. Not that anon. You can do this, but that doesn't mean it's not a pain in the ass to have to do this in the first place. Even more so since you have to have both devices where you want to play on at the same time when you want to transfer the save file. I usually can't tell if the save file automatically transferred so I have the program opened until I see it did it. I've done it for DS2 and classic monster hunter games.
