Previously when I tried enabling UEFI and Secure Boot, it would cause PC to just have a black screen when booting requiring the CMOS battery to be removed to reset my MOBO.
Now that I've updated my MOBO, I can now enable UEFI and Secure Boot and my PC is able to boot up without a black screen on the BIOS startup. But now when it starts my Win10 installation, there is no display but there it's still booting and there's audio feedback that everything is running correctly.

Now I'm wondering what I need to do at this point. My harddrive is already set to GPT so that's running correctly, so I think I need to update my 2070 Super somehow to fix this.

it's not just as easy as "enter bios and enable it"... Further more there's absolutely no reason in the world a couple games are requiring this setting as it has NOTHING to do with stopping cheaters... It's the anti-cheat COMPANY some games are going to now that require this BS (like valariant, how well has that worked?). With that said, TONS of people are bricking their pc's over this because they just want to play the game. Majority of built pc's and pre-built sold gaming pc's are disabled and "we" never went to enabled it because there's never been a use for it. Now, I went into bios, had to swap BIOS mode from legacy to UEFI, then I was able to go into Secure boot to enable it, once that's done you then need to install boot keys. Now we have all that sorted out, save and exit... Only to boot BF6 up and see it's still not enabled. Open Win+R, msinfo32 to see bios mode still shows "legacy" and secure boot state unsupported.... How do you fix this? You fix this by backing up your PC and reinstalling windows... Personally I'm done dealing with all this, my pc keeps saying "standard hardware security not supported" and I built this PC 6 years ago (with upgrades through out this time). Everything is legit etc. Like I said, I've seen tons of people asking for help because they ended up bricking their pc, most cases their able to pull the CMOS battery and put it back in and reset. Again, gamers have been gaming all these years without all this BS. There's better ways for a company to block cheating.

Here’s the hard truth: once you go full UEFI + Secure Boot, your GPU must have a UEFI-GOP (Graphics Output Protocol) firmware. Without it, Windows hands off to the card’s legacy VBIOS and your display stays black.

Verify GOP support

Boot an EFI shell or DOS USB with NVIDIA’s nvflash.

Run nvflash --list and look for a “UEFI GOP” flag. No flag = no GOP.

Flash a GOP-capable VBIOS

Check MSI’s support page for your “RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING OC 3X 8G” ROM with UEFI GOP.

If available, download it plus nvflash, boot to DOS/EFI, and flash.

Warning: Pick the exact ROM for your board and ensure stable power—this can brick your card if done wrong.

Workaround: re-enable CSM

If no GOP ROM or you’re uneasy flashing, turn CSM back on (or set BIOS to “UEFI for OS, BIOS+UEFI for Video”).

You lose “pure” Secure Boot but regain display into Windows.

Update your drivers

Once you have display, uninstall old NVIDIA drivers in Safe Mode (use DDU), then install the latest signed driver from NVIDIA’s site. This ensures compatibility with Secure Boot.

Check your cable

Some GOP firmwares initialize only HDMI or only DisplayPort. Try the other port if still blank.

If MSI doesn’t offer a UEFI-GOP ROM and you aren’t comfortable flashing, you’ll need to run with CSM on or upgrade to a card that ships with UEFI GOP.

Apparently there is a workaround involving using integrated graphics and unplugging the GPU and re-doing drivers but i don't know if my CPU will even do that. i may try again once the beta drops, or i'll just play it on my laptop

They installed Windows 11 using legacy MBR and other bypasses in Rufus, mainly on legacy hardware.
As soon as you enable UEFI and turn on secureboot, BAM, you can't boot from your hard disk anymore because it's not compatible.

Windows and 3rd party Windows installation tools actually don't tell people that they should REALLY use GPT instead of MBR partition if they meant to install a modern OS. A lot of people mistakenly say "oh just install whichever one" when you should really install GPT. MBR is not compatible with some things, Safe Boot included. Luckily it's very easy to convert your drive to GPT without losing any data.
