the game is too hard, I finished the scary shooter mode dungeon and then gave up shortly after. That segment was easy but going through the Desert is such a slog and I feel like being turned on by the game 100% of the time and getting frustrated by dying and struggling against powerful enemies is gonna cross wires and turn me into a masochist, I already have problems where I empathize and self-insert as the MC so I try to avoid playing female characters so I don't become a weirdo

The desert sucks for sure but you don't really have to engage with it that much, that being said if you found it hard already then the last too bosses will crush your nuts, I've never seen such a crazy difficulty spike at the end of a game. The most annoying thing in the desert is beating the Stalker to enable camps, it's just up to dodging and countering (perfect dodge>Y>Y+B) to wear him down. One consistent trick that works on most bosses is to not bother doing basic attacks so you won't get distracted, just focus on defending and dealing damage through counters and Beta skills (Triplet is the best to spam).
